Useful App

You have managed to include a LOT of functions into this app. I find some things easier to use than others. I need structure as motivational support so I find scheduling a balanced variety of exercises across a week to be helpful. But little glitches in the app can make that tricky. Scheduling a month is simply not possible. Things just don’t work well for any time period longer than a week.

I agree with the review of Guided Workouts; there are technical issues

I assume user feedback and constant attention to updates will continue. I like what I can get from the app. I appreciate the range of abilities allowed. As a post car crash rehab patient with bilateral knee replacement followed by full treatment for 2 cancers, this 76 y-o appreciates the VERY gentle beginner level activities. I plan to work at this until I can return to the intermediate level I was pre-accident. If you keep working out the bugs, I plan to use it until the end.

The impact of Live Stream Online Classes

The people behind Silver Sneakers may never able to accurately measure the impact of their master creativity, thoroughness craft programs, engineering in synchronized with cracked , old bones …on an old woman like me. I have a gym membership for some years, but I lived too far from convenient and lack of motivation to go. Moved back to town in April, where internet service is as natural as the air that we breathe, I discovered Live Stream Online Classes by pure accident. I am not exaggerate in saying that Silver Sneakers has thrown me a lifeline. For some times, I feel like my existence rapidly evaporated. The lightness of being insignificant was unbearable. I was all packed, anxiously waiting for the last ride. But I changed my mind. In my totally safe bedroom, in front of a large computer monitor, I learned feet stomping, hands clapping, mostly just stumbled around, utterly silly . The best thing is no one see me !!!

Guided workouts

I am a fan of the app and the concept seems good. I use it mainly to schedule and keep track of in person sessions at my fitness center. With the pandemic it hasn’t been much of a help. So I decided to give guided workouts a chance again.

They don’t function, if you watch the video for the exercise it messes with the workout. When you hit start it jumps to the next workout. When you hit previous exercise the timer doesn’t always work. The videos show in landscape and the exercises show in portrait mode.

I am so frustrated after trying three different workouts that I am not sure that I will try any more. I want a guided workout to go from beginning to end just like an actual in person session. A pause button for rest or equipment would be good but continue where it was before I hit pause. A timer bar or clock would be nice but the instructor count should be sufficient. An equipment list on each exercise screen should be available with a complete list at the start.

In general the easy and intermediate seem geared to someone who has never worked out at all.

Queen of Zumba Gold

This is a review of Damaris and her Monday, Wednesday and Friday Zumba Gold class. Since June 1, 2021, I have been a regular enthusiastic participant. I feel 100% better starting my day this way. Through darkness or light, following her happy and strong moves at 5:30 am gives me energy and vision in my goal of living longer to see my grandchildren accomplish their goals. I have never been so committed to being active, although in my 74 years, I have tried many fitness programs. And Silver Sneakers gave it to me. Thank you!
Now one small ask: how about more Zumba Gold classes, and have a couple on your recorded classes. I’ve tried other classes, but Fit Steps, which I enjoyed, was too stop and start for me. It’s like the teachers would stop, look at their feeds and preview steps. I just can’t stay in the rhythm of moving. Thank you!

Newbie

I just downloaded app and getting familiarize with so many options! So far this past week I’ve joined live workouts for 15 minutes and I’m already starting to feel much better, physically and mentally. I’m 80 years old and had a very bad fall last year which left me unable to exercise for one year. I’m so thankful for being able to work out from my home and slowly get to moving again. I’ve done total of 3 live classes and today scheduling more. Also thank you for email reminders and links to get into zoom webinars. One of the classes I joined was too hard to follow but I will join that one later as I get stronger!😀

Needs work

I find it difficult to use the orientation, as it only offers vertical in one direction. It would be nice if you could see the app horizontally, which is easier to read. Also, filters aren’t very useful if listings don’t provide more detail about services; i.e., If you’re just looking for yoga classes, there’s no filter option for it and even though some of the providers listed offer it, you have to contact each one to find out if they’re having classes or not. There are also filters for acupuncture, massage, chiropractic, etc.; but if you select only those filters, you get “no matching locations“. Maybe those services are available in some locations, but why show them to me in my location if I don’t have the option of using them. This app needs some refinement and updating to make it useful.

Almost perfect, but...

The app is fantastic however I have not yet found out how to get to the store on the app. I have to go to the website. Also I have to sign in every day when I use the app. It doesn’t remember who I am and there is nothing to check to ask the computer to remember me. Otherwise everything you need is there. The classes are fantastic the teachers are even better and the program can’t be beat especially during this Covid time. It would be nice if they could have more on-demand classes like maybe record some of the online classes as they were happening and make them available to members.

Enjoying the program

I have enjoyed the zoom webinars the most. The app could be improved. Would like to rate instructors and get info about them as well. The app lets you rate the activity of the class but it is very basic so no real room to critique appropriately. Love being able to get decent workouts at home. Some of the most fun classes with awesome instructors are only offered randomly and rarely. It would be nice to see them more often or have the opportunity to let SS know that one would like to see that happen. In other words, the chance to give constructive feedback is VERY limited. If you email or try to ask questions the responses are automated and generic.

It’s okay.

The Fitbit app it a lot easier to use. If this wasn’t linked to rewards, I probably wouldn’t use it. It knows if I sign in from my phone but doesn’t credit my workout to my account if I use my log in from my TV. It’s dumb to have to work out watching a 17” screen when I have an 85” TV.
I had to turn off notifications because I was really getting hammered.
I do like being able to log all my workouts, short & long. I will hop on the rebounder in front of TV when it strikes my fancy, or put on a music video channel & dance for 30 minutes, just because & so tracking all workouts is a plus.
I wish DESPERATELY that we could log workouts in real time. What is the big deal? I find myself waiting for the quarter/half hours to start workouts. If it syncs with my Fitbit eventually, why not?
I do think the Fitbit app (unfortunately bought by Google last year) is probably the best user friendly app of its type.
This isn’t bad. It’s just not “great.”
Being able to enter a real time would go a long way toward improving it.

Maria cardio Mix

While Maria is happy, enthusiastic, and positive, it is not one of my favorite classes. The moves are almost exactly the same every time...no new movements, no effort to keep it interesting.
I get tired of trying to inhale and exhale about 30 times with Maria...not only is it boring and not a real exercise, but the exhale includes doing”party snake” hand waving and “disco hands”....I have no more breath to exhale after the party snakes.
Today we stood on one foot for over 2 minutes while Maria talked about various things....it is good to distract us, but it was too much.
I really need a cardio class so I keep coming. I do take Zumba classes also, but they are not always offered when I can take them.
