HOW TO PLAY
Hearts is one of the most popular card games in the world. It is played with a standard set of 52 playing cards and is closely related to other trick-taking games like Spades and Euchre.
The object of the game is to score the least amount of points. You earn points for every heart you take and if you are unlucky enough to get the Queen of Spades then you are stuck with an extra 13 points. In the default game mode in Simple Hearts, the game ends when someone reaches 50 points. However, that can be changed to 100 points, 150 points or it can be set to end after 1, 3 or 5 rounds of play.
HEARTS TERMINOLOGY
• Breaking Hearts: Hearts cannot lead a trick until a Heart has been discarded on a trick
• Discarding Cards: Players can discard any card if they are unable to play a card of the led suit
• First Trick: All penalty cards cannot be played on the first trick. This includes Hearts and the Queen of Spades
• Following Suit: Players must follow the suit of the first card played in each trick, if possible
• Hand: The cards held by one player
• Passing: Before each round, each player will pass three cards to another player. The direction of the cards passed will change each round
• Penalty Cards: Hearts are worth 1 point and the Queen of Spades is worth 13 points
• Shooting The Moon: When a player collects all Hearts and the Queen of Spades in a single round, they instead score zero and each opponent scores 26 points
• Trick: One card played from each player forms the trick
• Trick Winner: The player with the highest value card of the led suit collects each trick
• Voiding a Suit: When a player no longer has any cards of a specific suit, that suit is considered voided. This allows the player to play cards of other suits when that suit is led
TIPS
• Be careful when passing cards. You may help an opponent who is trying to shoot the moon if you pass all high ranking cards
• Keep track of cards that have been played! There are 13 cards of each suit in the deck. Play around the cards you know are remaining in the deck
• Voiding a suit (getting rid of all cards of a specific suit in your hand) is a great way to play your penalty cards on opponents

Ratings and Reviews
Ok only two games so far
But, I’ve not been backed into taking the queen by the other computer players. There is one problem I could see, one play consistently leads with the ace of spades and no one would do this unless they were trying to run them. That I got the queen in my hand the majority of hands. That’s nothing compared the the cheating and junk in other games. I turn the sound off. There are no ads. Thank you
I like hearts
I have played hearts for years and really enjoy relaxing when I get a chance. I will give the game really high marks. However, the last few weeks, I have considered not playing it any more due to random games taking over my hearts game and not letting me “X” it out so I can continue playing Hearts, which I choose to play. I’m quite annoyed by being forced to have the games you choose, stay on my screen instead of letting me play MY chosen game. There is not an “X” available to push to stop the suggested game and allow me to continue my game. Can you do something so I can Turn it off? Thank you for considering an “Out.”
Good game
I find it played oddly but once you get it I like it. All in all one of the best card game programming I’ve ever seen. No ads and play fast. I’m loving it so far after about 100 games.
