SimpleSpread is a spreadsheet made for the Mac and iPad. It opens and saves Excel files, recalculates as you type, and starts in under a second. There's no account and no subscription, and your files never leave your device. WORKS WITH THE FILES YOU HAVE • Opens and saves .xlsx files from Microsoft Excel, Apple Numbers and Google Sheets. • Charts, comments, conditional formatting, data validation and hyperlinks in a file are kept when you save. • If a file holds something SimpleSpread can't write back, such as macros, it tells you before saving and offers to save a copy instead. • Imports CSV safely: it works out the delimiter and the text encoding, keeps leading zeros, and never runs a formula hidden in the data. FORMULAS • 157 functions, including SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, INDEX and MATCH, TEXTJOIN, NETWORKDAYS and IRR. • The same results and rules as Google Sheets, with Excel's operator precedence. • Fill handle, Fill Down and Fill Right, with references that adjust as they should. CHARTS AND PIVOT TABLES • Column, bar, line, area, pie, doughnut and scatter charts that redraw as your numbers change. • Pivot tables with a Fields panel like Excel's: drag fields into rows, columns, values and filters, group dates by month or quarter, and show values as a percentage of the total. EVERYDAY EDITING • Sort by up to three columns, and filter by value or by condition. • Freeze the header row, find any value, and jump to any cell. • Fonts, colours, borders, merged cells, alignment and number formats, with a format painter. • Undo for everything, including deleted rows, columns and sheets. FAST AND SMALL A 20,000-row workbook with 80,000 formulas opens in 1.4 seconds. The Mac app is under 9 MB. Big files open and save in the background, so the window never freezes. ON IPAD Open files from iCloud Drive, On My iPad and other locations, and edit them in place; SimpleSpread saves as you go. Tap to select, double-tap to edit, drag the handles to grow a selection, and pinch to zoom. With a keyboard and trackpad, it works just as it does on the Mac. PRIVATE No account, no analytics, no ads. SimpleSpread never connects to the internet. SimpleSpread is made by MZ Industries in Toronto, and it's open source. One purchase covers both Mac and iPad.
