Description

SkyMD is a national telehealth platform, specializing in multiple fields of medicine like dermatology and primary care, staffed with doctors that treat patients every day across America. With online dermatologists and primary care doctors in all 50 US States, SkyMD's medical team of doctors is literally available to treat patients in every zip code, from infants to centenarians!
Our online group of doctors operates no differently than any traditional doctor's office, other than no appointments, and you having more time to interact with your doctor. SkyMD accepts most medical insurances, and treats the privacy of your medical data with utmost importance. Our medical professionals are all board certified doctors, with years of experience in preventing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of skin conditions and primary healthcare.
As a group of practicing medical doctors, SkyMD also prescribes medications, the same as if you were evaluated by a doctor in person. Today's medical industry, along with State Boards of Medicine and the majority of private insurance networks, considers telemedicine as equal to being seen in person, and most medical insurance networks consider telemedicine as a covered medical benefit. Dermatology and primary healthcare are obvious and practical fit for the use of telemedicine. Your SkyMD doctor now has the flexibility to evaluate your uploaded photos, or converse with you in a video conference, or even recommend that you still see a doctor in person, depending on what's the right treatment model for each patient.
Access your dermatologist and primary care doctor anytime, anywhere at your fingertips.

Here's how SkyMD works:
1. Download the app (for free) and connect to your dermatologist or primary care doctor. Tell us where you live by entering your zip code, and we will recommend you a doctor, or you can also select any doctor from the wide range of options available, who are licensed to practice in your home state.
2. Take photos of your condition like, skin, hair or nail concern, and complete a medical intake comprised of a few simple questions about your primary concern, symptoms, medical history, allergies, and any other information that you like to tell us about. This will help the doctor to understand your condition better in detail and provide the necessary treatment to you.
3. Your doctor will evaluate your case, diagnose your condition, and recommend a personalized treatment plan, including prescriptions if necessary. You tell us where to send the prescription by choosing the pharmacy of your choice and we will do! Yes, your choice of pharmacy!

jj milk ,

Excellent. Really excellent.

A dermatologist usually has some wait for an appointment, than a usually long wait in a waiting room. The idea of having a skin issue and not having to think 10 times if you should or not go to a doctor but rather you just open an app from the comfort of your home, submit your question is great. The app asks literally all the relevant questions a doctor would ask, and there you go. You get an answer within minutes from a doctor with a treatment plan and/medication. They got some really great experienced doctors with decades of experience that I wonder why such a middle aged experienced doctor is on an app... although they have physical locations. No making an appointment, no waiting room, no annoying secretary... my experience exceeded my expectations. I think this is just as good as a physical doctor unless of course a need of a physical job on something. Definitely recommend it. (Not affiliated and not asked to wrote this. Just an honest review from an amazed user.)

App doesn’t work on my iPhone

First of all, expect a totally different experience with this company if you were going through insurance. I listed that I had Medicare and it listed five doctors that it said excepted Medicare. Then I went through the whole 40 minutes of entering information, my insurance card, my drivers license and pictures of my face only to get a text back later that was supposedly from the doctor I chose, that I couldn’t open on my iPhone because it require downloading the app and the app doesn’t show anything other than advertisements. Luckily, I was able to download the app on my iPad to see that I got a message from a supposed medical asstThat said that the doctor I chose did not accept my insurance so she would have to assign me a different doctor and because I was going through insurance, they would require an actual telehealth visit on computer which I thought was required of any telehealth visit (Computer or phone contact with the doctor) but apparently, if you pay cash on here, no, Dr. ever hast to see or speak with you. For all you know, a secretary is prescribing your medication. The fact that the app doesn’t work on iPhone and that they don’t update the doctors that accept her insurance, or just to measure headaches that make this app a waste of time. but if you’re willing to pay $80 cash (which is what I should’ve just done), you can likely get whatever you need prescribed same day instead of going through the clown show I did.

Would recommend

I’m going to keep this review as short and to the point as possible. Firstly, $90 is kind of steep- BUT, you’re paying for convenience and honestly my experience went super well. I got 2 prescriptions immediately. I’ve only been to a dermatologist once, I spent $200 out of pocket for the doctor to walk in the room for 2 seconds then prescribe me a $60 topical without asking me about my skin or even looking at it. He then proceeded to rush me out of the office. I never went back to a dermatologist, but since I’m wearing a mask everyday at work my face looks horrible. I was looking for a quick solution and this was it. I honestly don’t have any complaints about the service, I do however have one about the app which is that the pharmacy kept somehow changing itself back to the wrong one after I corrected it 2 times. This may be a glitch or something, however after contacting the doctor she got it sent over to the correct location quickly. Overall, I would recommend this app.

Developer Response ,

Thanks very much, gaby3022. We appreciate the feedback.

We're adding mail order options to our pharmacy section, which we expect to deploy in a couple of weeks, and we've also given your feedback to our developers to see if they can recreate the glitch you experienced.
