Reticulating splines
Simulation curriculum corp constantly updates this app to keep up with changes and equipment in astronomy. It’s the first app I turn to when planning a photo session and visual observing. From controlling your scope to finding a new target, this is the best app out there. Worth every penny.

An amazing tool!

Both my father and I are avid amateur astrophotographers and this app in all its various versions is an absolute GODSEND! It allows us to figure out what we want to image, gives us the ability to control our scopes, not to mention the Gaia catalog. The augmented reality feature is also fun to play with. Simply put, whether you’re just starting out in your astronomy journey or are a grizzled veteran of gazing at the stars, sky safari is an easy to use app and is a must have tool/compendium of knowledge relating to the heavens above! Bad Chinese translation and bug needs to be fixed for latest update

The latest update provides Chinese translation, which is a very good feature. However, the translation is basically google translated (or even worse), many translations are far wrong the true meaning that makes me confused. This is not a usable translation at all, and hope it could improve soon. Also, the updates bring a new problem, when I click “tonight”, the app would crash everytime I try, this is a very urgent problem that I could the team could fix soon. Overall, this update only brought me trouble without any bonus yet. It’s a good start though, hope the team could fix the bugs asap.

Honestly, it would be a GREAT app if…everything that makes it unique wasn’t hidden behind a paywall! Seriously? Bought the app, then tried to use the 2 most consequential components (light pollution map, featured tonight) and both are locked behind yet another “premium” paywall.I’m so, so sick of getting taken by these greedy companies that offer a paid for PRO version, then charge yet again for the FEW things that make it unique from other FREE APPS!Totally ridiculous and just destroys all the excitement I had when I purchased it. I’m sorry, but you guys should be ashamed of yourselves.
