This release brings fresh User Interface to the familiar LIVE/HUB student application. It also improves the speed of opening/closing individual activities to provide better user experience. New AI powered speech recognition activity allows students to use their voice to “Fill in the Blank” text input fields.

This new release has a significantly updated look & feel for users. The software has been streamlined to improve ease-of-use and navigation. Many of the self-access activities have been updated to give teachers greater latitude for managing degrees of rigor to challenge all students. Ultra-high-resolution device screens are now supported.

New “Smart Zoom” function for the iPhone that allow students to quickly zoom to the desired section of the exercise where they can either view the audio-visual content or work on their responses.

New function that allow students to slow-down the speed of the audio playback in Listen & Repeat, as well as Simultaneous Audio Recording exercises. In exercises with an audio stimulus, teacher can now insert an image, a PDF or a Text document.

New Match and Jumble exercises where student drag & drop answers from a randomized list into a specific position and/or sequence. Improvements in the code to minimize data packets sent between participants, which improves operational efficiency on the Wi-Fi networks.

Improved audio compression algorithm reduces bandwidth requirements for simultaneous, real-time audio conversations over WiFi networks. Fixes in the code to better accommodate the non-English text imported from XML translation files.

Fix for the issue of loading list of schools, used to preset the configuration parameters for the student app.

Improved Pronunciation (speech recognition) Exercises with support for 56 selections of languages and country localizations.

Improved compression algorithm produces smaller audio files that are recorded by students during a live class. User Interface easthetics has been enhanced with new colour scheme and graphics.

Support for new Network Test tool that allows to benchmark the real-time performance of communications between teacher and students. Fix in the code to reduce the response time of the Web Manager regarding user login requests.

Improvements that speed-up the deployment on student stations of exercises launched by teacher during a live class. Fix in the code to improve audio playback in exercises that include video recordings.

Improvements allowing students to have conversations with each other (pairing activities) using both the microphone and the webcam. These audio-visual conversations can be recorded by the teacher. Fix in the code to support scaling of screens broadcasted from very high-resolution devices.
