Description
Educators and school staff use SmartPass on iOS to easily create and oversee digital hall passes in real-time. The iOS app for iPhone and iPad lets staff users:
- create Now or schedule Future passes for students
- approve or deny pass requests
- access Hall Monitor to know which students are out of class on an active pass and where they are headed—with a photo for quick recognition + engagement!
- launch Kiosk Mode for their room when 1:1 devices aren't available
- access their own ID Card

Students can also use the iOS app—at the school's discretion. iPhone access for hall passes can be disabled for all students by account administrators while still allowing access to ID cards.

Only one pass
Hi my school used smart pass for a bit not sure if they still do i graduated but anyway. I wanted to use the bathroom during class one time and I noticed i couldn’t because smart pass puts locks on it and I knew if i didn’t use the bathroom I was going to pee myself. So I ended up just running out of the class and I got it trouble for it. but that’s not all the teachers can put timers on how long you can be in the bathroom for I was giving 30 seconds by one teacher. and half the teacher go sick of smart pass in a week I hope my school changed the way they do things.
Smart Pass - A Great Tracking Device
At our school, we started tracking student’s activity in October of this year. Throughout the year, we have been able to track students activity to the bathrooms, media center, and many other places in our school. The best feature is the encountering prevention for students who do not need to be in the bathroom or halls together. The reports are very helpful to teachers so that we become aware of student’s activity that they should not be involved in, especially with other students who also have encountering preventions.
I hope we can tweak Smart Pass even more this coming school year.
Great for knowing where my students are at all times even at home!!
Every once in a while I get curious about what my students are doing (I know I’m a little bit of a helicopter teacher🙈) I log on to smart pass on my computer and access my students cameras just to see what they’re doing (especially if they’re cheating on my homework😢) and then I check they’re search history through the new cross platform data tracking just to make sure they aren’t searching up answers on google🤬. Thank you smartpass for allowing me to check what my students are doing at all times!!!
