"I live in the mountains, so Snow-Forecast.com is not just a winter site for me; it's useful year-round. It's the first and last website I check every day. I use it to plan my days: if it's work, I rely on it to make decisions about filming windows; if it's playtime, it's even more important to get it right, as that time is the most precious.” - Ed Leigh - Commentator & Presenter of BBC Ski Sunday

“With today’s climate making it harder to find good snow conditions, Snow-Forecast.com consistently suggests hidden gems among ski resorts. Often, these are relatively unknown spots where I’ve enjoyed memorable snow days in the mountains!” - Lila Thompson (USA)

“I am a ski guide and rely on Snow Forecast to plan my days. I’ve been a happy premium subscriber for many years and confidently share their forecasts with my clients” - Toby Scott (Australia)

Great reports

It is a toss up if one should use Safari or this app on the iPad mini.

The site gives great reports, giving expected snow amounts instead of maximum possible that NOAA gives. It uses NOAA data to do their forecast and so it is about 10 hours behind. It also gives top, mid, bottom which can be hard to get at NOAA clicking on their map. It gives longer forecasts and more 2 day detail (if things go as expected) for subscribers.

Latest update ruined the app

I used this app religiously for years. As someone who chases powder it was perfect to find the best places in the world with recent/forecasted snowfall and now it’s completely ruined. They only list 5 resorts when looking at recent snowfall and 0 for expected snowfall. Can’t believe they bricked it this badly. Seriously disappointed. Will be canceling my subscription and deleting the app.

Developer Response ,

Hi ZaneTrack, Sorry for the confusion caused, but just to let you know, the picks feature was updated to suggest the best resorts within a certain range from your chosen airport / resort. You can use the slider at the top to set the desired range to global, that should show you results from all around the world. Thanks

Terrible forecast

First, let me start by saying I love the layout, ease of use and format of this app. For those reasons I may actually keep using it. So instead of giving it the worst rating I will bump it up to two stars for those reasons. But...

The snow forecast is actually terrible. So far this year (and last) it has been so far off that it isn't even marginally reliable. Now, I could forgive this app if it was forecasting the same thing as NOAA and other apps, but they have gone rogue. They typically forecast days where we will receive 6-12 inches of snow. NOAA and others will say 1-2 inches. The others are always right and this has yet to be accurate.

Please get the forecast in line with others because what you are using clearly isn't even close. FWIW, I live on the Wasatch back.
