SELECT A GENRE OR MULTIPLE GENRES
Songen has multiple up-to-date music genres that you can you use. Songen's algorithms know the characteristics of many of today's most popular music styles. Choose your favourite genre or mix multiple genres.
GENERATE UNIQUE SONGS
With a just a tap of the Generate button Songen creates totally unique songs. Just a few more clicks and you have a whole song that is completely owned by you.
SHAREPLAY
Play tunes in sync with your friends and generate new tunes during a FaceTime call. Experience the next level of co-production, powered by Apple SharePlay.
SAVE YOUR SONGS
Once you find a suitable song for your production you can save it. Your saved songs are stored and ready for listening when ever you want. After saving you can fine tune the the song and make it sound just the way you want.
EDIT & MIX
Edit your song's parameters such as transposing the octave of the instruments and slowing or speeding up individual tracks. Choose instruments to your tracks from a collection of premium-quality sounds.
SHARE YOUR SONG
Once you are ready with your song you can export it as a midi file and keep working on it in your DAW. You can also export audio files and share them on social media or to your artist, producer or a friend instantly.
IT'S YOURS!
In the end the song you have generated and mixed is totally royalty-free and you own it!
PREMIUM
With the Songen Premium you enjoy unlimited generated songs and you can save as many songs as you like to boost your productivity. Includes up to 250 monthly exports.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Under the hood there's a sophisticated algorithm that is trained to generate various music genres. As a low-level stochastic machine it doesn't involve any pre-made midi files and everything is generated on-the-spot.
HOW TO IMPORT OLD VERSION SONGS?
Songs saved in an older version of Songen can be imported from a list found from: Collection (top right corner) > Settings (top right corner) > Legacy Songs. Deletion of the app may delete all saved songs.
HOW TO UNSUBSCRIBE?
1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap your name.
3. Tap Subscriptions.
4. Tap Songen.
5. Tap Cancel Subscription. If you don’t see Cancel, the subscription is already canceled and won't renew.
IMPORTANT NOTES
In the unlikely event that Songen generates music already written by someone else, we are not liable for any copyright issues. We have invested a lot in the stability of the app, however, we don't make any warranties about storing and maintaining saved songs in the app. Deleting the app will delete all saved content in the app including and not limited to the saved songs.
All saved content including saved songs is bound to a device. Signing in with another device will not transfer any content to the new device. Premium subscription enables unlimited saved tunes and up to 250 exports each calendar month.

Purchase will be applied to your Apple ID account on confirmation. Subscriptions will automatically renew unless canceled within 24-hours before the end of the current period. You can cancel anytime with your Apple ID account settings. Any unused portion of a free trial will be forfeited if you purchase a subscription.

[UPDATE]
Hello 😩 writing to make sure you have not died!!! 😢 I’ve become restless, yearning for an update, I’m itchy and twitching with withdrawal, I cry! I weep 😮💨 When, when, will we, receive an update? 🫣😩 3 months without an update == 3 months of darkness. Solitude. Trepidation and shadows with no direction and little hope.
1. A way to edit loops and remove notes, we don’t need Songen to be a DAW! Just that little feature before hand so that when we get to the DAW we only have notes we’re going to work with. 2. Like someone else said, saving individual loop variations without the original loop would be amazing, sometimes the variation is WAY better than the original. 3. Flamenco, Middle Eastern, 90s dance, maybe begin playing with decades for the genres, and naming them after that. For example “00s pop.” 4. Would love to see a video series, even from the community, where we share videos about tips and tricks for using Songen that go past the basics.

Thank you for the feedback! We are working towards a new genre and we are certainly alive althought there has been a little period of silence update-wise. We feel that you definitely deserve an update with at least something you requested in it.

Keep only the variation: This is included in the next update. We also fixed an issue where auto generation kicked in while editing current loop in the arrangement editor. This was an annoying behaviour and does not happend anymore.
The note deletion requires more UX work but should be doable sooner or later. Thanks for elaborating the specific need there.

A great tool for helping make beats in a pinch.
This app can help you generate the bones for great beats, and I like to use it as an assistive tool (rather than just generating a beat and calling it good)! I really like the interface, and the sound set is very good. I appreciate how you can just switch out the sounds easily and quickly, without it changing the melody, and I like how it’s not just pulling loops from a pool.
I do want at least a little more say in what the beat sounds like; Sometimes I like the beat a lot, except for one thing. It’d be cool if there was a piano roll function where you could add, remove, and edit notes. Then I’d be able to make some custom things as well, while still using the amazing sound set that’s included in this app.
As far as assistive creation tools go, I like this one a lot!

We will look into the editing possibilities although we have focused on the idea generation side, leaving the fine editing capabilities to dedicated tools, DAWs.
Export function is broken
Honestly loved of organized the old design was and how you had better controls of what you wanted to keep and do with it. This new update was a change in look which I saw was for an aesthetic change but at the price of usefulness. You can’t simplify the parts, can’t mix how loud they are anymore, can’t change the syncopation nor make it export without crashing over and over and when you finally get it to export something like your separated drum midi with multitrack stems in wav and midi, it doesn’t export the whole 11 files even when you try to put it on google drive or simply to save onto your device. This new update came at the cost of 90% of what I liked and used this app for. It was useful and organized. Well put together and made sense with actual functioning things not just aesthetic. Can this please be fixed. I’m actually incredibly disappointed and I’ve been a customer with a premium subscription with them for almost a whole year. Almost uninstalled the app because of this new update.

Thank you for the feedback! We just spotted an issue where audio stems export crashes the app when there are muted tracks or tracks. This is now fixed and a new version with this is going live asap.
