What happened?

Everything works great with the app and the developers were very quick to respond with a solution when I wrote about the issues I previously encountered. And now I can use the Face/Touch ID that I didn’t know existed as an option until recently. Thank you!!!

We apologize for any inconvenience caused. The camera alignment issue has been resolved with the latest update available now in the App Store.

FaceID and Touch ID is available in the mobile app by selecting 'Settings' in the app's menu and then select 'Enroll Fingerprint/Face ID'.

Technical issues

The problem with space coast credit union is their technology and lack of it. On my iPad I can’t use the website because it says I don’t have cookies enabled, even though the ONLY website in the world that causes me problem is Space Coast and I sure do have cookies enabled...So I’m forced to use their stupid app which is clunky and not very user friendly at times in my opinion. But then I want to use bill payer because I sent a check last month but the company I sent to didn’t get it, but I can’t find out what’s going on because the window doesn’t fit on the screen, so I can’t even use it. Super annoying and frustrating. And space coast is the only banking establishment in the country that won’t opt into to Apple Pay. Even clicking app support in the App Store for this app brings you to a dead page. I think it’s time to find a bank that can stay relevant to today’s Technology. I’ve been waiting patiently for years and now the latest app is just more problems. Not happy.

We are sorry to hear you experiencing trouble with our mobile app. We are looking into the issue of the portrait / landscape being locked which affects the Bill Payer screen on iPad devices. In the meantime for the Bill Payer screen, you may use the Mobile Web to use Bill Payer by using your internet browser on your device for a full screen and rotation. If you are receiving a message of cookies blocked, please access your device's settings, search for Safari and turn off "Block all Cookies" and "Prevent Cross Site Tracking". Once those are turned off and settings saved, re-open the mobile app or mobile web and you will be able to access Bill Payer. We hope this information is helpful to you. Total Frustration and NOT User Friendly

The SCCU mobile banking app is by far the worst app on any IOS device we have in our household, and we have four with this app installed. Here are just a could samples of the many problems:

First, the app is locked in portrait view mode and will not rotate to landscape. This problem is compounded by the fact the window will not allow side-scrolling. Then to top off just how bad this app is, all the screens are formatted for landscape viewing. Consequently half the data is hidden offscreen along with a few of the required buttons for functionality.

The next high-frustration point is the app logs you out every time you move from one menu item to the next. Yes you can view your accounts. But when you try to open Bill Payer the app logs you out and you must log back in. Same if you’re in Bill Payer. You can pay your bills (only if you can see enough data to do so). But any attempt to go view your accounts signs you out of the and you must again log back in. And all this typing must be done manually because the app is to lame to retain passwords or use fingerprint login utilities that have been readily available for years.

IMO, this app in no way represents the establishment it purports to service. SCCU is a fine local banking option. I really just believe all the money they wasted having this app written could have been better put to use elsewhere.
