Spanwise

Habit tracker, no subscription

Spanwise is a habit tracker built around the two things most of them get wrong. GOALS ARE MEASURED IN PERIODS, NOT DAYS "Four times a week" means four times a week. Miss Tuesday and nothing breaks — the week still has room for it. Most apps run a weekly goal on daily logic, which is why streaks get lost for no reason at all. Here a week simply is the period, and a streak counts weeks. A monthly goal counts months. A three-times-a-day goal counts days. A limit is a goal too: "at most two a week" is kept by staying under it. SYNC THAT DOES NOT LOSE THINGS Sync goes through your own iCloud. Log on one device, pick it up on another. Go offline for a week and log the whole time. Nothing is ever overwritten and nothing is ever deleted — when two devices disagree, both are kept and the higher count wins. That is a property of how the data is stored, not a promise in a marketing line. A SCENE FOR EVERY HABIT Every habit has a small scene, and a tap plays it: a marble drops into the jar, the water rises, the bar goes up. Meet the goal and the scene marks it. Keep meeting it and the scene levels up — four levels, earned by the periods you finished rather than by days in a row. Beside it, the count in plain numbers: 3 of 4. A FEW THINGS IT WILL NEVER DO No streak-loss screen. No red. Nothing that scolds. You can set a reminder on a habit, and it is the only notification the app sends — it stays quiet on any day you have already logged and on any period you have already finished, so it never arrives to ask where you have been. A skipped day counts toward the period rather than costing you one, because skipping something on purpose is not the same as failing at it. When a run does end, the number resets quietly and your best stays exactly where it is. There are sounds, and they are off until you turn them on. WITHOUT OPENING THE APP Three widgets: one habit, your first four, and one for the Lock Screen. A tap on a widget logs one and the app stays closed. There is a "Log Habit" action for Shortcuts and Siri, and on iOS 18 and later a Control Center button. A LOG YOU CAN CORRECT Undo a tap. Take one back. Open a week or a month that has already ended and fix what it says; the streak is recounted from the log. Your whole history stays, and it leaves when you want it to: Settings exports everything as CSV or JSON. WHAT IT COSTS Spanwise is free: iCloud sync between your devices, widgets, reminders, every kind of goal, as many habits as you want, your whole history and the export. No account, no trial that runs out, no limit that turns up later. Spanwise Pro is a single purchase that adds five more scenes — Running, Reading, Meditation, Sleep and Vitamin. It is not a subscription, and it is the only thing for sale. If you paid for Spanwise before it was free, Pro is already yours. Privacy Policy: https://marbas-dev.github.io/spanwise/privacy.html IPHONE AND IPAD On an iPad the grid uses the room it is given: more columns, in any orientation. In English and Turkish, in light and in dark. PRIVACY There is no account, because there is nothing to sign up for. Your habits live on your device and in your own iCloud — end to end encrypted, so the pattern of your days is not readable by us or anyone else. We run no server. There is no analytics, no tracking, and not a single third-party SDK in the app.

Spanwise is free now, every habit has a scene, and there is an iPad layout. FREE Spanwise no longer costs anything to download. Sync, widgets, reminders, every kind of goal and as many habits as you like are included. If you paid for Spanwise: thank you. Everything in this version is yours, Spanwise Pro included, and there is nothing you need to do. SCENES Each habit now has a small scene on its card: a jar, a glass of water, a barbell. A tap plays it. Meet the goal and the scene marks it; keep meeting it and the scene levels up, four levels in all. You choose the scene when you make or edit a habit. Sounds are optional and start switched off. SPANWISE PRO One purchase, not a subscription. It adds five more scenes: Running, Reading, Meditation, Sleep and Vitamin. UNDO Tapped the wrong habit? An Undo appears at the bottom of Today for a few seconds. It takes back that one tap and nothing else. TAKE ONE BACK Every day in the log sheet is now a counter: minus, the count, plus. One too many becomes one fewer; a skip you did not mean is lifted. WEEKS AND MONTHS THAT ARE OVER Open a habit's history and tap any period to see its days. Add the run you forgot to log on Sunday, skip the day you were ill, or remove something that never happened. The streak is recounted from what the log now says. All of your history is listed, and the page now starts with a map of recent periods. LIMITS A goal can be a ceiling: "at most 2 a week". Staying under it is what counts. WIDGETS Three of them. A small one for a single habit, a medium one for your first four, and one for the Lock Screen. Each shows what the card shows, and a tap logs one — the app does not open. For a few seconds afterwards the widget offers Undo. SHORTCUTS AND CONTROL CENTER "Log Habit" is an action in Shortcuts and works with Siri. On iOS 18 and later there is a Control Center button for the habit you choose. ARRANGE Under your habits on Today there is now "Arrange". Put them in the order you want; the order follows you to your other devices and to the widgets. A habit keeps its colour wherever you move it. EXPORT Settings has "Export as CSV" and "Export as JSON": the whole log, in a file a spreadsheet opens. IPAD, TURKISH, LIGHT An iPad layout in every orientation, a Turkish translation, and a light appearance. SYNC When you log on one device, the other can now pick it up without being opened. If the device is not signed in to iCloud, Spanwise says so plainly instead of "Offline", and starts syncing the next time you come back to it after signing in. FIXED A habit logged after midnight, in an app left open since the day before, was saved to the previous day. A habit's details could be uploaded to iCloud again and again while the app stayed open. A record iCloud refused once was never sent again; anything held back now goes out by itself.
