So I started using Spark for work as they required me to use it for emails. I eventually ended up leaving that job and I still use spark! It wasn’t Until I got a computer(I only use spark on my phone) and realized that emailing in general just felt so off without spark 🤣. Easy to use, very nice looking, highly accessible and clutter free. I think the main point is how it categorizes everything in a unique way. There is also a “erase page” feature so you can erase every email on a page instead of having to manually click one at a time. It just feels scores more smoother and responsive compared to other emailing services including gmail! I 100% recommend Spark ESPECIALLY if you are in college. God does this app make schooling a lot easier. I also see some reviews about spam being an issue and not being handled properly by the app and from my experience I haven’t had an issue with that but it seems many have so I’m sure it is an issue. I also haven’t had an issue with being logged out randomly or not getting emails. I’ve used it for 2 and a half years so I can’t really say anything on those points and it’s hard to say if it’s actually a spark issue or something wrong with a persons device. I personally have had 0 issues with the app.

I really, and I mean REALLY want to love this app. On the surface it’s everything you could want in an email client. Lately however, problems have crept in making it annoying to use, particularly between devices, where if I delete or arrange messages into relevant folders, it’s all cleaned up on one device, but when i switch to say… my phone… all the messages are still there in the inbox. It isn’t until I kill the app and do a pulldown refresh that the state of the inbox is actually refreshed. On top of that, on any given device at any given time, I’ll check my mail, clean out my inbox and flick the app away, only to discover the red dot with my message count hasn’t updated and it looks like I still have unread messages. To be fair this could just be an issue in ios, but I don’t have this issue with other apps so I dunno. Today, and what prompted me to finally leave a cautionary review - I actually had to delete and reinstall spark on my ipad to get it to realize i had already read and filed my messages on my phone.Minor annoyances to be sure, but as Readdle continues on their corporate path of “we can always make it better” - you’re breaking too much. Change is bad, ok. we spend years building email habits and expectations, and believe me, rocking a comfortable boat with more going on under the hood than you can keep working reliably is not the way. NOT THE WAY.

I really, and I mean REALLY want to love this app. On the surface it’s everything you could want in an email client. I’ve tried SuperHuman and it was phenomenal but for someone that uses it just for personal use I could not afford that price every month then I came across Spark+AI and WOW it is amazing. The app UI is clean and amazing in appearance. The free trial was amazing and I’m still trying to figure out to get it set up just to my likings and my free trial ran out and honestly didn’t even realize the trial was over right away, that’s how many amazing features Spark gives you. $7.99/month is a lot more affordable than the alternatives I’ve come across but do wish they offered a student price. For someone like me with ADHD, this is very helpful to keep my emails sorted, organized and inboxes cleaned out. Before they were absolute chaos. The only major improvements that would be great is if the calendar UI/appearance looked as good as the rest of the application. Also if they could work with other applications like Structured (one I use to stay on top of my days and plan them out because of my ADHD, it helps me stay focused on things I need to get done), some sort of integration where I could either import events from there into Spark or vice versa. Overall, I will say that Spark+AI helps me stay on top of my emails, important emails personal, work/business and university without feeling overwhelmed and bombarded. Keep up the great work and I look forward to the future of Spark!!
