Make timing as easy as it’s ever been with SpeakTimer: the timer that speaks.

SpeakTimer is a handy app that can be used as a personal assistant to keep you on track with a plethora of day-to-day activities in life, such as cooking, revision, workouts or taking a nap.

It fulfils this through its ability to deliver speech at any points you choose, its high level of customisability to suit your specific needs, and the ability to see multiple timers at once.

Voice alerts are fully customisable: the speech to be spoken is completely up to you, and so is the time at which it happens - the app is optimised to make the process of adding these very simple. You can choose to add single voice alerts here and there, or to repeat speech at regular intervals as the timer counts down. You do not have to add speech if you do not want to.

After downloading the app, you will be able to enjoy the many features SpeakTimer has to offer (note that some will require a SpeakTimer PRO subscription):

Very flexible

I use this app to start model sailboat races. It is connected to a speaker via Bluetooth so everyone on the dock can hear the countdown. Great that you can set up voice alerts at any second you choose. One addition that would be nice is to allow sounds to be configured as well as speech. We would like to use an air horn sound when it is time to start the race.

Brilliant, Simple, Gobsmacked

Some things are such no brainers that they stunning to use. Five stars for shear intelligence.
I only used it one time but I hope to find a choice of voices. Good job, developer!

I have to limit my talk time on the phone because my voice seemed to get rough. Now the listener can hear a ten minute warning to wrap up their points and I do not have to intervene for myself.

I have my own WINGMAN looking after me.
At 75 years, I love having a man’s voice speak to wrap things up. I am just giddy over this. 🌸

Pricey and annoying

High price, requires a free, but auto renewing to no free, trial to test, so DO NOT DOWNLOAD, if you forget to cancel sometimes.
Turns down the volume of other apps the whole time it’s running (not just when it’s announcing)
Didn’t find the controls intuitive, not even sure if you can change the voice. (Not going to keep looking, just deleting this app)
There are others, try them.
Don’t like it, but it does work, so 2 stars.
