Connecting with your cycling community can be tough when a ride’s info is spread out between social media, text messages, and forums. But with Ride, you can find and create group rides based on your location. No more barriers—just new rides, new friends, and an easier way to put it all together.
And when you can’t ride with others, Ride lets you connect your ANGi sensor and to take advantage of automated safety features, like ride notifications and crash detection.
Use Ride to:
Find rides in your area by day, time, type, effort, or even distance.
Building a ride community takes, well, a community. Ride lets you post your planned rides, so others can find them and join in on the fun.
Stay up to date on your ride notifications through the message board. Weather delays, route changes, and pre-ride gossip now have a home.
CONNECT WITH ANGi SENSORS
Mount a Specialized ANGi sensor to your helmet and pair it with the app. Your emergency contacts will be sent an email or text alert from your phone and notified of your location if ANGi detects that you’ve been in a crash.
Record, save, and view ride results in your profile, plus view maps, metrics, and your ANGi status. Your ride history is only visible to you, but you can link your Ride account to STRAVA®, so you’ll never miss a segment.
Here's what we've been working on while you were out (hopefully) riding:
- Group Rides List will only reload the necessary parts after you've edited, joined, or left a ride
- Ride Time Alerts are now displayed on the record screen
- Rider Portal, the Ride App's sister site, was launched! Check it out here: https://ride.specialized.com/
- Add your profile image via the Rider Portal and it will display in Ride
- Share group rides with friends, even if they don't have the Ride App installed
- ANGi connection from the Record tab is even more reliable now
See you out on the road and trail!

Easy way to find and plan group rides
I’m new to cycling and this app is making it easier for me to ride regularly. It helps me discover new routes and meet fellow riders in my area. Awesome!
Something went wrong
June 20 I’m giving this another star. After contacting the developer thru the App Store I was contacted within a few hours asking for more information. We will see how this turns out but they deserve another star for responding so quickly.
App was great then an update broke something. Or there’s a server problem.
Until last update a text notification would be sent for start and finish of ride. Then it stopped and only email went.
I changed the email to the email address for SMS to phone but that fails. It’s like anything trying to go to a text fails.
I’ve tried different carriers with no luck.
Icedot was great. Early ANGi was great.
Now it doesn’t really help.
I ride a lot solo and out of my hometown. Please fix the messaging on start, finish, and emergency.
Decent start but needs revision
Wish there was an option for ride start and finish notifications to be sent via text. My wife loves the notifications but doesn’t check her email often enough for them to be relevant. By the time she notices that I’ve started a ride I’ve already put in 50 miles and done. If the notifications were text she would know within minutes.
