Do you know what peaceful word-finding games have been missing? Epic wizard battles between the forces of good and not-so-good! Take on waves of goblins, trolls, and other nasty customers as you cast spells and save the realm from utter destruction.
It’s part word puzzle, part wave defense. In Spell Defense, you need to find words among the scattered letters of your magic scroll. The more you find, the more mana you’ll generate to cast spells as the battle rages on above. Master the skill of jumping between word search and battle modes in real-time to be victorious. With over 30 levels, multiple difficulties, and a whole slew of challenges for you to conquer, you’ll find countless hours of entertainment at your fingertips.
Oh yeah… the entire game is 100% FREE! Yep, play every level as many times as you like with no timers, hearts, or in-game currency to slow you down. You unlock new spells and characters by simply playing the game and advancing through the story. There are some just-for-fun spells that you can purchase from the in-game merchant if you want to take the whackiness of the game to the next level, but the core game is yours for free. Enjoy!

Version 1.4
Spell Defense 1.4 slashes the price of merchant spell packs, so go ahead... hit goblins with a car or finger-snap half of the orcs out of existence! The update also brings some quality of life and balancing tweaks. I want your life to be full of quality and balance!
* 5-letter words now stun all enemies on screen for a few seconds
* 6-letter words still cast lightning, but also stuns.
* 7-letter words casts lightning, stuns everyone, AND heals your party.
* Enemies do less damage on Normal difficulty.
This way, if you get a little over-focused on word-building, you're still actively helping your party win the battle.

Two way challenge
I play a few spelling games. This one is different…there’s the added challenge of having to spell words before the goblins have a chance to attack. So there’s a fun timing element that makes it edgy. You have to find a certain amount of words to progress to the next level. Longer words kill the goblins. There are also available tools to help fend off the attack while finding the words. I’ve been at it for hours. I’m hooked.
Like if DnD and Boggle had a baby
This game is addictive! It’s a fun challenge for those of us who like word games - you’re not only racing the clock, but also balancing your word building with strategy and spell casting. I love how it zaps all the enemies when you build bigger words - so satisfying! I also love how you uncover new heroes and spells all the time, just by playing through the levels. Awesome game!

Word games are always my favorite but this one stands out amongst them all! This game brings a whole new twist with an action packed adventure!
