Spider Grills 4+

Overall I like what spider grills is trying to do. I’m using the venom and it is an excellent addition to my charcoal grill. Unfortunately I cannot see the graph as every time I try to open it, the app crashes and closes instantly. I’ve tried restarting my phone but that has no effect. It would be nice to have more control in the app such as how often it gives you temperature updates. The spider grills hardware is great, the app needs a lot of work to match the quality of the hardware.

The physical product is great does exactly what it says. The GUI for the App is a little hokey. Could use some aesthetic GUI upgrades but the latest is functional. A few features I would like to see are - low temp alerts. For if/when the grill runs out of fuel. Also some logic so if it sees a steep decline in temp it can figure that it’s probably the lid being removed and hold off 5mins before firing the fan up. Also maybe storing the temp graphs for later reference. Just some ideas. This product is great and with a few tweaks it can be even better!

Overall the app needs a little work. On my iPhone 14 pro max the display looks messed up and the biggest problem is the graph. It works sometimes and sometimes the screen is blank. The venom always shows the graph so it’s collecting the data, it just does not make its way into the app.
