For as nice looking and easy to use as this is compared to Splitwise I could never go back. I’ve tried a handful of the alternatives and nothing does everything quite as well as SplitterUp. Does almost everything Splitwise does, some things it doesn’t like being able to easily re-split past expenses with a new group member. Plus the receipt scanner seems to be faster and more accurate. All this for $5 and no subscription? And it doesn’t track or sell your data? What a breath of fresh air in the era of surveillance capitalism.
Great App!
Unsolvable Problem
I’m loving this app! I’ve tried other apps for splitting expenses but rarely used them because I found them overly complicated. I was told about this one and it’s by far the easiest to navigate. It’s user friendly and intuitive. (Important for me as an older, less than tech savvy person) It’s very easy to add receipts and assign items to friends. I’m really glad to have found it. Highly recommend!

People split expenses so many ways. And have different brains in how they view expenses - so SplitterUp is very thoughtful in being rather customizable based on your preferences. You can use it for meals, group trips, self budgeting, activities, etc.Highly recommend for both type A and b folks!
Heads up: some balances may look different. We restored missing historical exchange rates on a small number of older non-USD expenses, so a few of your group balances may have shifted. The new numbers reflect the rate from each expense's date. Settlements you've already recorded still apply unchanged. Sorry for any confusion — if anything looks off, send feedback from the in-app form or email contact@splitterup.app.
