Stagg EKG‪+‬ 4+

Like others have said, it’s fine, but nothing that amazing, especially for the premium.

Some nice features would be to maybe have the temps a bit more tailored to things like coffee roast type and so forth. Especially as Fellow are so big on coffee. Making a pour over with a light roast? Select that on app. Same for brew methods: V60, aeropress etc.

That would really differentiate Fellow more and make the product stand out more for enthusiasts and help people newer to different coffee methods too. It would be a starting point of course but having there little touches would be great. As would being able to save favourites, set timers etc.

I thought that this would have more features after being out on the market for almost 3 years but it still has 2 very basic functions. I don’t feel like these two options are worth the extra $50 compared to the regular EKG. I would love to be able to have a programmable feature to have the kettle turn on at at certain time. That would make it somewhat worth paying the extra money for the EKG+. Google home compatibility would absolutely make this worth paying the extra cost. Please make this smart home compatible!!!

Note - If you grind your beans fresh every morning, the regular EKG (which comes in much better colors) would be sufficient. The kettle boils very quickly that by the time you finish grinding and setting up your equipment, your kettle basically has already come to temperature.

Overall I am very pleased with this purchase. The app loses connection every time I close it and occasionally I have to repair it to my phone. For the price tag I had bigger expectations for the app though. I would like to see a few things implemented over time. I would like to set an alarm to turn it on, presets I can choose, Apple Watch support would be amazing, and lastly Siri capability. Other than that, it does what it’s advertised, and I am grateful every day I bought it.
