I just received my new scale (Run Star Smart Full Body Composition Scale) tonight. I couldn’t wait to see what I was going learn from the data. I am blown away!! Body fat% Water % muscle % would be pretty much great! But this app and scale take it to the next level, I mean breaking things down by arm, legs, core, 3 different types of Fat, bone density, bone weight, muscle weight, body weight with no fat. So pretty much NASA level stuff, then the app allows you to actually print the report, just like a blood test, with your levels compared to a standard range!! I am beyond impressed!!! 5 STAR!

Overall app is good. One small thing that I would like updated - newish users of this scale cannot easily see a chart of progress. If I have had it for 21 days and I click on progress so far for this past month or past year, I cannot see my progress since day 1. It just says it’s not been a month (or a year) yet. I can only use the past week view. If I’ve been using it for 6 months, the year progress view won’t work because it’s not been a year yet. You should always show all data for any view as long as it’s less than that filter. For example, the year progress view should be all data up to 365 days. Clicking on a year view should still show 5/6/7/8 etc. months of data for a newer user.

I enjoy using it. Even if I don’t open the app, the scale will let me add all the times I’ve weighed myself to my data so even if I forgot to open the app, my weight is still being measured and saved. I can also discard any that aren’t mine (like when my kids or husband get on) . Currently, I am pregnant and wished the app would add a setting or feature to measure bmi and weight gained separately or st least make a note that it’s a pregnancy timeline rather than just saying I’m overweight and aging excessive weight gain. And it doesn’t really bother me cause I just need to track weight but I’d like to see how fast I lose weight post pregnancy and how water weight and everything else changes. Overall, totally recommend and I love it connects to my Apple Watch too.

The week section of the charts tab needs to have candle sticks for each week instead of a flat average. For example, I’m doing 75 Hard so I’m dropping weight fast with a lot of water intake and the first week I started at 237.9 and ended at 233.6, but the week just said the average of all with no way to look further into the numbers as you can only look back a certain amount of days in the recent section. It would be better to have candle sticks like a stick chart for the week section so you can see where you started, ended, and then the average too. I also think it’s not right to include some of the other measurements since this is not an accurate device to be able to properly measure many of them. Take most of them with a grain of salt and get those tests done professionally.
