Stepple syncs with Apple Health to read your active calories, steps, workouts, flights climbed, sleep, and walking distance. Your daily goal is simple: burn enough active calories to keep your pet alive — and every step and every workout you log counts toward that goal, whether you're walking the dog, hitting the gym, or climbing a flight of stairs. A hearts bar shows exactly where your pet stands — thriving, content, tired, sick, or critical.

One bad day won't break anything. A missed day costs a heart, but tomorrow's walk earns half a heart back. Your pet only reaches the end of their story after several skipped days in a row — plenty of room to recover from a rough week, a busy trip, or a sick day.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account, no sign-up, no ads. Your Apple Health data is read on your device to care for your pet and isn't shared anywhere — unless you turn on optional social features like leaderboards or friend sharing, which publish activity stats (like steps and goal progress) through Apple's CloudKit. You're always in control of what you share.
