Sticky Notepad: Notes & Memo 4+

I really appreciate how simple and easy to use this app is. I just need something small on my desktop for little reminders to send emails, schedule appointments, or submit assignments. The colors are cute but there’s not so many that I get decision-fatigue AND the transparency feature is very convenient.

My only two concerns, and they’re very small ones, is that the note itself can’t change size and it doesn’t stick to the desktop. I like my dock to be very clean so if I’m not actively using something I want to clear it out. Even if you export the little note from the app to an actual sticky note, closing it on the dock closes both the app and the note. I’d love if the note would still to the desktop like a folder file, but I’m not tech-savvy so I don’t even know if that’s a possible feature for the creators to implement.

Other than that, I’m very pleased with this! Exactly what I was looking for.

Just to address your concerns:

1.​Resizing the note: You can actually resize the note by dragging its edges—super easy!
​2.Sticking the note to the desktop: If you click “Pop Out Note” and then select “Stay on Top,” the note will stay pinned to your desktop.
​3.Keeping your dock clean: You can enable “Hide Icon from the Dock” in the “Preferences” settings, so the app icon won’t clutter your dock when you’re not actively using it.

One of the things I've missed from my ancient Mac days of yore was the Sticky notes. I knew there had to be something and kept meaning to go look for it -- And here it was. Exactly what I needed! I need something that worked like the old thing and let me put notes up on my Mac and this does the trick.

There are features I would like. Search feature has been mentioned--that would be good. I'd like to be able to *selectively* float notes so they displayed above everyting else. Would like to be able to have "mirror" notes pop out, so I could have a note "mirrored" onto another monitor or desktop so could keep the same note up on different workspaces (but not all of them). And obviously bold, italic and strikethru are missing where they would be nice to have.

Also a Notes-style checkbox list feature would be handly. And a simple table function wouldn't be bad.

But I still give this 5 stars. It's free and works as advertised on my now 9 year old Mac Pro. I've got zero complaints. This was just what I needed! Thanks!

The search feature is under implementation now. If everything goes well, it will be the first one to be released soon among all these requests. Oh, the different text styles such as bold, italic, strikethrough and checkbox list are also under development in parallel by another engineer, let's wait and see who will be faster. :)

Actually, we tried to add floating notes feature in this release, but we encountered some technical issue and we're still working on it. Hope we can find a viable solution soon.

As for the mirrored notes & the table function, to be frank, it may need some time before they are released on the App Store. But one thing you can be sure is: they have been added to our sprint backlog and will be equipped to our app in the near future. You have my word. :)

I have a pretty solid case of ADHD. Wanted something to put off to the side so I can type out my thoughts that come to my head as I continuously distract myself so that I dont keep task switching. It is great being able to adjust the transparency. I jot down my ideas and later on revisit-- often realizing that completing the idea or task I wrote down is completely unnecessary. Saves me a ton of time being able to keep w my task and not have to keep opening anything to write down a note. Also there are practically no buttons to distract me. It is simple and to the point. 5 stars.
