Stormcaster

Forecast tricks. Play weather.

Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Forecast exactly how many tricks you'll take, then try to take that many. Solo against bots, pass & play on one phone, or online with friends by room code. Stormcaster is a trick-taking card game for 3 to 6 players. Each round you forecast exactly how many tricks you will take, then play the hand and try to land on that number. Hit it and you score. Miss it and you lose points. The deck has four suits, Sun, Rain, Wind and Frost, plus ten weather cards. A Storm beats any suited card, trump included, and the Comet beats even a Storm and counts as two tricks. A sky card turned up each round sets trump, and a barometer shows your odds for each forecast before you commit. Ways to play: • Solo against bots, with three difficulty levels • Pass & play on one phone or tablet • Online with friends: open a table, send them the five-character code, and bots fill any empty seats. Play together across iPhone, iPad, Android and the web at stormcaster.app. If you are new to trick-taking games, Professor Quill teaches you how to play in four short lessons. Stormcaster is free, with no ads, no in-app purchases, no account and no tracking. Solo and pass & play work offline. Suits have their own shapes as well as colours, and there is screen reader support.
