This release contains several improvements to the app, including the addition of a Google reCAPTCHA form during the SMS login flow in order to deter spam. In addition, we’ve refreshed the in-app web browser that appears after initiating a Shop trip, which will improve usability for shoppers.

This release contains the registration flow for the upcoming StormX cashback debit card. This functionality will allow users to register some of the required personal details needed to sign up for a debit card. By doing so, users will be able to onboard faster once the full version of the debit card is available. In addition, an updated referral program is included in this release, which allows referring users to earn 10% of any rewards from their referred users. The withdrawal flow was also updated to better support this new referral functionality.

This release contains an update to the Information Consent screen, which is displayed to new users and collects their consent to use the StormX app and its services. We have made several UI updates, with the most notable being the Staking screen which has been redesigned to improve usability. Shopping cashback rates now display the rate you’ll receive because of your membership, as opposed to just the base cashback rate. Lastly, we have added some functionality that allows us to better launch and remove new shopping promotions.

This release contains improvements to the social share feature that provides default text when sharing to Twitter. A tracking permission screen was added for iOS users in order to collect their IDFA before starting shopping journeys from specific stores. This permission allows us to track user activity from ad campaigns to shopping purchases. Also, we now support PDF uploads when submitting support tickets, so users can more easily add receipts in the format they get them from merchants.

There are several noteworthy changes included in this release. The most important changes are to the UI for Members. Rewards, and Settings. The Members tab has been given its own prominent status within the UI in order to better promote its value for shopping benefits. Rewards has been re-designed to better improve visibility and UX, and Settings has moved to the upper navigation to reflect its overarching role across different functionality areas. In addition, some smaller changes accompany the major UI improvements. The ‘Connect Wallet’ screen has been removed in order to reduce onboarding friction, and WazirX has been added as an available exchange to buy STMX for international, non-US users. Lastly, users who logout will have their device removed from their named user on Airship, which is a device management best practice for sending/receiving push notifications.

The primary focus of this release is migrating our transactional push notifications to a new provider. All pre-existing English language push notifications have been updated for better deliverability, and deep links have been included as well so users are delivered to the relevant page within the app. Besides push notifications, some minor UI changes are also included in this release.

Several areas of the application have been redesigned in order to provide a more modern and clean user interface. The splash screen and login page are the two most notable changes. In addition, we’ve updated the Shop detail page in order to make offer exclusions more manageable within the UI. The referral widget has been turned into a card that lives within the main Shop feed. We’ve also implemented a new push notification service, which will provide users with greater awareness of new stores and promotions.
