I generally like the idea of the game. Challenging enough. After reading reviews people are clearly noticing what I have with overlapping or extra letters. I found this happens when there are two paths for the same word. As long as you spelled it right it accepts it. So now one (or more) letter you used from the wrong space is missing from another word. I was able to get around this by properly tracing the correct letter sequence (wrong blue highlight stays though) and then continuing. Need more puzzles. Got to 97 but the last few are total repeats so I guess it's lived it's short life for now. Hope to see more soon.

I’ve never written a review for a game in all my years on Al Gore’s Internet, but I’m grateful for the ability to see reviews in the App Store because I thought I was losing my mind.

Since this game launched, there have been CONSISTENT critical reviews, but the developer is not taking heed or implementing the feedback. The version history of weekly updates just indicate, “added more games!”

Like others, I was excited to find this after playing NYT Strands - and at first, it was great! But by about the 10th level, the *hint* button stopped working properly and continues to only function sporadically. I briefly considered paying the $7 to get ads removed (in hopes of improved functionality), but decided to research and see what other reviewers said first - this issue is a common thread! Another reviewer mentioned the themes being intentionally misleading, and I agree (it almost seems as if the creator’s first language isn’t English). A separate reviewer recommended a *solve* option, or even the opportunity to return later and advance to the next puzzle when stuck, and either of these options would be a major improvement.

Upon reaching a blatantly misspelled word in a theme on a level in the 30s, I’m deleting the whole thing. I’m admittedly a bit of a stickler. Maybe spelling “isn’t a big deal” to you. But this is a WORD game, for goodness’ sake!

I’m glad I didn’t review after the first game as it asked me to. This does not work correctly on my device (iPhone 13 pro max) I can only swipe the letters part of the time and if I try to tap the letters it won’t recognize them half the time either. But my biggest complaint is I found three “other words” and tapped hint and it did not give me a hit, yet it reset my hint bank (I had actually found more than three words and it completely reset my hint bank without credit for the extra words and without a hint). I will leave this app on my phone for a while to see if any updates fix the problems, otherwise I’ll sadly delete. I really like this game and have been looking for an app that is similar (or the same) as the NYT game. This one seemed to fit the bill, but it needs work.
