Apple Watch Strength Training Made Easy
Have you ever gone to the gym, started a workout, had your mind drift and completely forgot on which set you are? Yeah, me too! Had to track your reps and the weight you're working with? Me too! Started a rest period and forgot to get back to work? Yeah, ME TOO!
That's what Strength++ is for. You use it with your Apple Watch to record your strength training workouts, have them saved with duration, calories, heart rate to Apple Health, then have all your sets, reps and weights saved. Use the app to also track your work periods versus rest times and as a BONUS, use the Locker reminder feature to... well... remind you the locker you have.
Strength++ is an app THAT REQUIRES AN APPLE WATCH to record the workout. All the workouts can then be reviewed in the iPhone app. The iPhone app DOES NOT RECORD any workouts.
What’s New
Version 1.2.0
Watch face complications are here! Happy to announce that you now have 4 complication types available for your watch face, in order to get that little bit of extra motivation throughout the day. (due to this, the minimum wOS version is now wOS 9.0)
Ratings and Reviews
My favourite workout app
An easy to use and complete workout app! I’m using it everyday when going to the gym. The best part, from my pov, is the reminder to end the pauses, it really helps me a lot. What I also enjoy is the small but really helpful feature to add my locker number. The ability to add the number of repetitions and the weight is also a big, big +

Thank you so much for the king words!
Great app!
I recently switched from a Garmin to an Apple Watch. Where Garmin had strength training with reps/weights able to be inputted on the watch, Aw does not. Enter strength++ to save the day! So far I love the app as far as entering my sets and rest periods. It does have an alert after each minute of rest to remind you to keep going. You can customize this alert in the settings. Great feature.
What I love: That it saves my weight info from previous sets so I don’t have to rescroll through the weights from 0. My Garmin didn’t do this.
What I would like to see: I would love to be able to name the workouts in the app. I can look at the numbers and tell what I was probably doing but being able to label the exercises or label the whole thing for what muscle group I was working on would be a great addition.
Overall, great app if you like tracking on your watch and great features. Could use some customization in the app itself.
Bugs to address: Customizing rest settings in the app isn’t working right. You can customize the rest break but it won’t show the change and you’ll think it’s not working unless you go out of the settings and back in. It’s also not carrying over to the watch so the tone still alerts every minute despite it showing 90 seconds in the app.
