Check the kit bag before kickoff: every tag's battery and status in one list, and a scan to put each one on the right player. STRIDE Setup is the app coaches at Nipomo Soccer Club use to look after the club's player tracking tags. It is one part of a kit. The tags go on the boots and, for some players, on the back of the shirt. Two radios sit at the side of the pitch and a hub records the session. This app is what a coach uses before kickoff, to check the tags and say which tag is on which player. BEFORE THE SESSION Open the app near the kit bag and it lists every tag it can hear, with battery level and status for each. You find the flat one while there is still time to swap it, rather than after the match when a player's report is empty. Scan the sticker on a tag, pick the player from your roster, and say whether it is the left boot, the right boot or the vest. That binding is what turns a session of numbers into a named player's report afterwards. Tag settings can be changed from the same screen. WHAT THE TAGS MEASURE Boot tags measure footfalls: ground contact time, stride length, cadence and impact. From those STRIDE works out distance, speed, sprints, work rate, and the left-right asymmetry that is the reason the kit exists. A vest tag also measures its distance to the two pitch-side radios, which gives a position on the pitch for heat maps and shape. This is short-range radio between the club's own equipment, not GPS, and it works only on that pitch while the equipment is running. BUILT FOR A CLUB THAT COACHES CHILDREN Names live in one place and do not leave it. Any other system given access to STRIDE data receives a jersey number and nothing else: no name, no internal identifier, no tag address. The server refuses to send a response containing an identifying field rather than relying on anyone to remember the rule. The app itself collects nothing about the person using it. No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifier, no third-party code of any kind. WHAT YOU NEED An invite code from your club, and the STRIDE hardware. This app is not useful without them: everything in it is your club's own roster and your club's own equipment.
