I've been using the trial of the full version for about 20 days and was going to pull the trigger on a purchase… and then they released this with most of the features for half the price. It's almost perfect for me as a "single user". Obviously I'd like the features that are missing from the App (Gantt charts, custom summaries, mail integration), but in this economy I'm fine forgoing those to save $100. I've been using it for the CRM, projects, rates, timers, estimates, and invoice management. Haven't yet tried all of the To Do features or vendors so I can't comment on those. Either way, it's a solid, professional app at a surprising price. Really can't go wrong here.

I've used Studiometry (the full, non-express version) since about 2005, but I don't have the most recent version (I think I have Studiometry 6). I've LOVED Studiometry since I started using it, and I don't know how I'd run my freelance business without it. I decided to buy Studiometry Express 9 instead of standard Studiometry 9 for the obvious App Store benefits -- and because, to be honest, I really didn't need all the fancy features in the full version.The price for this app is pretty impressive, especially considering all of the stuff they included. And it was a cinch to load my data from the full version into the Express version. Thanks for thinking of your customers and releasing this "express" version!! :)
- Studiometry Express now has access to several of the "built-in" summaries from the full Studiometry version
- Can now use the Project Quoted vs Actual built-in summary
- Can now use the Projects and Subprojects built-in summary
- Can now use the Invoiced Work Types built-in summary
- Can filter Project Quoted vs Actual and Subproject reports by dates and custom date range
- View Timesheet window can now be filtered by Contact, displaying only items on Projects where the selected contact is assigned
- View Timesheet window filters improved. Selecting a client will filter projects and contacts list to match only that client. Selecting a contact will filter project list to match that contact.
- When creating a new report, the Report Name field will update to match the selected report template's name as long as you haven't already typed into the Report Name field
- Fixed an issue with the tooltips in the Preferences Window > ID Numbering section
- Can now open the Template Variables search window directly from the Window menu without having to first open an invoice or report template
- Made some backend improvements to the Client/Project/Contact/Employee filtering available in many windows
- View Time Sheet window can now split work items by their individual ran-times (in addition to existing options for splitting into days)
- When splitting View Time Sheet window by ran-times, will now show the start and stop times for each
- Ran-time notes will appear in description column if splitting View Time Sheet window by ran-times
- Can now export start/stop times in export for View Time Sheet window
- Can now export extra info and ran time notes in View Time Sheet window export
- Can now export Project Combined Name & ID and Client Combined Name & ID in View Time Sheet window export
- View Time Sheet window will now remember size and position when closed/reopened
- Can now include Ran Times for Debts in Custom summaries. It will use the same formatting as ItemRanTimeInfoStartDateB from the invoice/report template variables
- Fixed an issue for some databases where the Status Item and Dock menu creation would slow the app down drastically
- Fixed an issue where some sub-projects would remain marked as live when their parent project is marked as non-live, which would then prevent the Client from being marked as non-live
- Updated the knowledge base and movie links throughout the app that were broken due to changes in Zendesk URL composition
- Added new option for Status Item menu to show neither clients nor projects
- Changed the default setting for Show Status Item Menu in Dock to false and reset settings for all users. You can reenable this setting in the Preferences Window > Status Item & Dock section
