StudyStep is a revision app for Victorian students in Years 7 to 10. It follows the Victorian Curriculum F–10 Version 2.0, so what your child revises is what their class is actually covering.
TWO WAYS TO WORK
Learn — around sixty illustrated lessons that teach a topic properly, with diagrams, graphs and interactive figures rather than a wall of text.
Revise — more than 8,500 questions across Science, Maths, Maths Advanced, English, Humanities, French and German. Every question explains itself afterwards, whether the answer was right or wrong, because a right answer for the wrong reason is worth knowing about too.
BUILT AROUND WHAT THEY ARE ACTUALLY STUDYING
Students choose the topics their class is on, and sessions are built from those. When the class moves on, they change the selection. Questions that came back wrong return on a schedule until they stick, so revision concentrates on the gaps rather than on what is already known.

FOR PARENTS
Revision is free and stays free. Every question, every lesson and your child's whole progress record cost nothing, with no advertising and nothing withheld.
The optional Parent Dashboard is a subscription. Pair with your child's phone and you can see each day's minutes, questions and accuracy, with a reminder at a time you choose; the week at a glance, so a quiet patch is obvious early; a quiet note when answers come back unusually fast; and a way to set the topics to concentrate on, with a number of questions to get through in each. One subscription covers up to four children, each shown separately.
SNAP & TEST
Included with the Parent Dashboard. Your child photographs their class notes, a worksheet or a practice test, and StudyStep writes a practice test on exactly what they've covered, checked before they see it, with an explanation for every answer. You turn it on once for all your children, and you see each question and their answer on your dashboard.
PRIVACY
No accounts. No advertising. No tracking. StudyStep sends anonymous usage counts (never names, answers or device IDs), which can be switched off in Settings. Snap & Test photos are cleaned on the device, sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to write the questions, and never kept. A student's work stays on their device unless they choose to pair with a parent, and then it travels through their own iCloud account, where we cannot read it. A child is never asked to buy anything — the subscription is a parent's, bought on a parent's device.

Prices are in Australian dollars and vary by country or region. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of that period. Manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings after purchase.
