Works great on Big Sur 11.2.1
MiniBri3
Does exactly what it's supposed to. I used it with an .mp4 and .srt file that weren't in sync. There's no manual or instructions or anything with the app or at the developer's website, so you have to fiddle at first. I'll save you the trouble: 1. Launch the app2. Drop video file and sub file on the window.3. A new editor window opens showing the subtitle tet and time codes. Double click on any line there.4. The movie plays in the other window, and displays the subtitles. Use the slider at the bottom of the window to adjust the subtitles forward or backward in time. Let it run a bit, adjust a little here and there as you go, until you geet it where you want it.5. Back in the subtitle editor window, click the Export button in the opper right. The new subtitle file will be saved with the time adjustment set throughout.
Good idea but too many issues and limitations

Observations:1) I had to click on the “movie” and “subtitles” buttons and open the files that way. Dragging files to the window or to the Dock icon, even when the app was already open, didn’t work for me (High Sierra).2) The app will only adjust ALL timings to the SAME OFFSET (up to plus/minus 180 seconds –see Preferences). If you have a set of subtitles where the beginning and end need adjusting differently (I’d say in about 70% of the cases I encounter) then this isn’t the app for you.3) Adjusting the playback position by dragging the adjuster under the display results in problems such as the subtitles not appearing. When I advanced to a point past the end of the subtitles the app crashed on me with an out of bounds message saying it had to shut down.4) I’m surprised that this app can supposedly handle AVI but not MKV. You almost never see AVI these days and MKV is pretty common. 5) It’s nice that it is free but it has too many issues, even when trying to use it on the few files for which I could use it, for me to keep it on my computer.
Developer Response
Hi, please check out the new 3.0 update. Let me know if you still have any issues.
This is the Very Best app that I’ve used for Syncing subtitles.
Emoji test.
It’s intuitive and easy to use, and as long as it’s open it saves your sync so if you’re doing multiple files in a row (like a tv series) then you only have to search to sync the first file then use the existing placement number to do the rest. Way easier than others I’ve tried. Sorry if my terminology is incorrect, just goes to show it’s so easy a novice can use it. Thanks so much to the developer 🙏
Works PERFECTLY 2024 - modified your srt file PERFECTLY.
saffglenview
This works absolutely perfectly and has a PERFECT interface. We literally work in TV and streaming and I will now use this all the time.Just to understand, you load a video and then YOU LOAD AN SRT FILE. It then plays both together and PERFECTLY allows you to sync the subs.It then EXPORTS the new SRT FILE. (This app does NOT export a video file with the modified srt track - just use another app for that.)Works PERFECTLY on brand new Macs/OS as of 2024. MUCH MUCH better than the other apps, we tried them all.
Developer Response
Thanks!
- Replaced 'Export' by standard 'Save' and 'Save as' UI
- Improved line editing
- Fixed Dark mode issue
Thanks everyone for the feedback!
