Thank you for all your feedback and feature requests, it's been a while since there's been a Sumyt update but I'm happy to be back with some of the most requested features and bug fixes:
- The pickers for goals and alerts have been completely rewritten and should be MUCH more user friendly! You can set the precision on some of them too.
- The pacer and swimming distance with time pickers don't reset their values now when a new value is set.
- Speed (km/h and mph) is now available as an option for indoor running workouts, perfect for the treadmill.
- More external apps have been added.
- Fixed an issue with workouts that are created on Mac not being able to be synced to watch when appearing on the iPhone.
I have many more features and fixes in store, please do visit the feedback site or drop me a message if you have some ideas.

2.0.1 10/09/2025
Welcome to Version 2.0 of Sumyt! This has been a long labour of love for me - I decided to re-write the app from scratch to take advantage of all the latest features in the new versions of iOS and to improve performance and stability. The app is looking amazing, I hope you love it!
There are so many small details that are new in this version, but the highlights are:
- The app was re-written from scratch, in a way that is more performant and easier for me to maintain going forwards. This should lead to long term stability and performance improvements.
- Today View - it's simple right now but I'd like to grow this to be the hub of the app. View your workouts for the day, your activity rings and other key metrics all in one place.
- Add time of day and location schedules to workouts, both of which then enable...
- Weather forecasts! Again, it's simple right now, but for outdoor workouts you'll be able to view a brief summary of the weather based on the chosen location and time.
- Store favourite locations in the Settings page.
- Create 'external' workouts, i.e. those you'd like to manage via Sumyt but will complete in another app. These won't create training plans on Apple Watch, but you will be able to view details after completion.
- Liquid Glass UI throughout.
Thank you to the beta testers who helped get V2 over the line! Please note, this version required OS 26 and above, data will be migrated but older versions are not compatible with this version.

- Fixed default values sometimes not being set for alerts when creating custom workouts.
Hope you enjoy!

1.1.12 07/09/2025
Just a couple of critical fixes, thanks to those who pointed them out!
- Fixed creation of workouts with 'open' goals, this would previously result in an error
- Fixed pace workouts with miles per hour, the calculations were wrong but this should be correct now
If you find something else that doesn't work, please get in touch and I'll try to get a fix out asap!
1.1.11 06/14/2025
One small new feature, thanks Nathan for the suggestion!
- When creating a custom workout, you can now press and hold an interval or an interval step to see the option of duplicating it, useful for creating complicated workouts!
Enjoy the update, if you have any ideas or suggestions get in touch on the Reddit community at r/sumyt!
1.1.10 05/28/2025
A very small update this time, bringing more options to manage your subscription to the Settings screen.
1.1.9 05/12/2025
Just a small release this time, here's what's changed:
- Added the ability to share completed workouts
- Fixed crashing issues caused by HealthKit data
- Fixed some Settings items not being completely tappable
Hope you enjoy!
1.1.8 05/08/2025
Here's what's new in this version:
- Resolved various issues with workout plan creation for the watch, some of which were causing the app to crash. If a workout cannot be built for whatever reason now, it will show as an error and can still be completed manually.
- Fixed issues with speed goals for workouts.
- Improvements to the workouts library, it has now been separated from adding a workout from the library. Hopefully this is a bit more logical now.
- Added total distance to completed workouts.
Thank you for your patience if you were experiencing the crashing issues, I do hope this release helps!
1.1.7 04/25/2025
Some small changes this time:
- Fixed (again!) pace measurements not being synced correctly.
- Added an option to display your Parkrun QR code for Sumyt+ subscribers.
- Added an option to manually sync workout plans to the watch. This is a workaround for an annoying bug affecting all WorkoutKit apps, where sync at some point just stops working.
- Added the count of scheduled workouts to the settings page.
- Added a link to the Sumyt Reddit community.
I hope you enjoy!
1.1.6 04/13/2025
Some more small improvements in this version:
- Changed the way sync tries to match a workout on device to the watch, hopefully this helps prevent multiple instances of the same workout being created on the watch
- Added an option to re-sync HealthKit workouts for a day if for some reason they haven't been synced correctly, multiple users reported this being an issue
- Added an indicator to the toolbar to show when a sync is taking place
Hope you enjoy!
