Point your camera at your skin and Sunly estimates how well your sunscreen is covering you, then keeps an eye on the UV where you are and tells you when to reapply. Sunscreen is easy to put on badly. You rush the back of your neck, forget an ear, and the bit you missed is the bit that burns. Sunly is built to catch that before the sun does. SEE WHERE YOU MISSED Take a photo and Sunly estimates how well each part of you is covered. It reads the sheen and cast that sunscreen leaves on skin, maps it to the zones it can actually see in the frame, and tells you which ones look bare. If the photo does not show enough to judge, it asks for another one rather than inventing a score. The analysis runs on your phone. The photo does not leave your device unless you choose to turn on cloud assist for a second opinion. KNOW THE UV BEFORE YOU GO OUT Live UV index for wherever you are, plus an hourly forecast so you can see when the peak lands. Sunly reads your location only while the app is open. There is no background tracking. REAPPLY ON TIME Set reminders that fit your day and get alerts when the UV climbs. Quiet hours mean the app stays out of your evening. BUILD THE HABIT Every day you protect yourself earns a Sun Safety Score, built from what you actually did: sunscreen, exposure, timing, cover-up, and how the UV behaved where you were. Keep protected days going and your streak grows. Join a Burn-Free Challenge, unlock badges, and watch the pattern in your Protection Insights over weeks and months. The daily check-in takes a few seconds. Did you apply, did you reapply, how much water did you get through, how did the day feel. Small inputs, honest picture. KEEP THE FAMILY COVERED Add the people you look after and see at a glance who is protected and who needs a nudge. Each person gets their own skin type, so the advice fits them rather than an average. ASK SUNNY Sunny is the small sun who lives in the app. Ask when to reapply, whether it is safe to go out, or how your week has gone, and get a straight answer. Tap Sunny anywhere in the app and he will say something useful, or at least something. TUNED TO YOUR SKIN Set your skin type once and everything from burn-time guidance to reapply timing adjusts to it. Type I burns in a fraction of the time Type VI does, and the app should not pretend otherwise. BUILT TO RESPECT YOUR DATA No ads. No advertising SDK. No selling your data to anyone. Scan analysis happens on your device by default, location is read only while the app is open, and you can delete your account and everything in it from Settings, immediately, with no email required. WHAT SUNLY IS NOT Sunly gives sun-safety guidance, not medical advice. Coverage readings are estimates, not clinical measurements, and clear sunscreen is genuinely hard for any camera to see. Treat the result as a prompt to check the spots it flags, keep following the directions on your sunscreen label, and talk to a doctor about anything on your skin that concerns you.
