SHAPE YOUR FIELD Create a field with your own dimensions and latitude. Arrange solar panel bands, crop rows, machinery lanes and maintenance areas on an interactive canvas. Set exact sizes and positions, duplicate and align areas, zoom into details and undo changes as your plan develops. WATCH THE LIGHT CHANGE Move from sunrise to sunset and watch light and shade travel across your field. Explore an exact date or start with a seasonal preset. Adjust panel support height, spacing, tilt and facing direction, then review how the layout affects each crop row's estimated direct sunlight and midday shade. PLAN AROUND YOUR CROPS Organize crops into sun-loving, partial-shade and cooling-cover groups. Assign crops to rows and set your own acceptable sunlight range and midday shade target. Find rows outside those targets and jump straight to their position in the field. Add a sowing-to-harvest period of up to 365 days to explore weekly light checkpoints, including the final date. See how your current layout performs as the season changes. COMPARE BEFORE YOU CHANGE Compare alternative layouts using the same date and latitude. Review differences in estimated sunlight, shade, planted area and access space to understand the tradeoffs behind each arrangement. KEEP FIELD WORK IN VIEW Plan sowing, harvesting and equipment maintenance alongside your fields and crops. Filter today's work, upcoming tasks and completed activities. Enable optional local reminders when you want a timely prompt. LEARN FROM EACH SEASON Record growth observations, land use, harvest weight and crop height. Attach selected photos and add sampling details to give measurements context. Saved observations preserve a dated layout snapshot, so you can revisit what was planted and how the field was arranged at the time. KEEP YOUR PLANS WITH YOU SunShare works offline without an account, ads or tracking. Field data stays on your iPhone unless you choose to export it. Export backups with or without photos, restore a saved farm and retain a recovery copy before replacing existing data. ABOUT THE LIGHT ESTIMATES SunShare provides approximate clear-sky comparisons in local solar time. Direct-light hours summarize the sunlit share of an area across a day; they do not represent uninterrupted exposure. Growing-period checks sample every seven days plus the end date. Results do not account for weather, terrain, nearby obstructions or crop canopy effects, and do not predict crop yield or electrical production. For iPhone with iOS 15 or later.
