Description

The Supercut cinema environment is now available! Check it out in the app.

Welcome to Supercut, the hub for all your streaming needs. With its enhanced experience for Netflix and Prime Video, it offers much more than a quick shortcut from your home screen. Supercut has been designed to feel right at home on your device, with playback feeling more immersive than in a regular browser.

- Browse your favorite movies and tv shows on a beautiful glassy window.
- Videos play with the correct aspect ratio, and dim your surroundings. Let's get rid of black bars for good!
- Watch on the big screen in the Cinema environment.
- With intuitive native playback controls, adjusting settings feels second nature, allowing you to focus on your viewing experience.
- Watch up to 4K, and Dolby Vision on Netflix, and HD in Prime Video.
- Supercut is the ONLY way to watch Netflix with Dolby Atmos and multichannel audio on visionOS.
- Shortcuts to movies, tv shows, and search are available in the native tab bar on the left.
- Search by typing on the keyboard or just look at the microphone icon and say what you're looking for!
- Switch profiles with the shortcut in the top right.

With Supercut, you can also add your own custom websites so it functions like a regular web browser with support for a URL scheme if you wish to take advantage of that!

I'm always working on Supercut and want to keep improving the app. Let me know if you have any ideas, thoughts, issues, or if you just wanna discuss your favorite TV show or movie by sending an email to support@supercut.vision! - Christian

What’s New

Version 1.2.1

Hey Supercut users! I'm really excited to finally bring THE most requested feature to Supercut: a cinema environment. Just tap the environments button in the top left of the player, enter the cinema, and watch your favorite movies and TV shows on a screen bigger than you could ever imagine.

This update fixes some issues with the cinema mode:
- An issue where the cinema screen might have elevated black levels is fixed.
- The spatial audio effect is improved in the cinema mode.
- Aliasing artifacts on the cinema floor and roof have been reduced/eliminated.
- An issue where the lighting may not expand when entering the cinema is fixed.
- An issue where your previously saved position might not be set when entering the cinema is fixed.

The previous update also included some important features and bug fixes:
- The Netflix E100 issue has been resolved.
- You can now set a custom aspect ratio for content that has black bars encoded into the content! Just enable it in Supercut Settings.
- Netflix will now correctly play Dolby Digital 5.1 audio when available.
- Fixes a bug where the Netflix player might become unresponsive after leaving the app for a while.

Great for Netflix

Everything seems to work really well, except when you glance to the lower right hand corner to enlarge the window, it is really hard to engage because of the toolbar at the bottom of the screen. Fix that, and this is easily five stars.

Works well for Netflix, Prime Video and Paramount

I'm using Supercut on my Vidion Pro for some time now and the picture quality and sound quality is really great. Netflix and Prime Video work like as I would expect from their own native apps and for paramount it just a few clicks on a in-app browser to log in and add the experience of streams as good as a native app. The floating window itself features all the same as AppleTV's or Disney's native app UI. The window is in the exact ratio of the stream, you can make it super big (way more than the Disney app alllows) and you can add the native Vidoen Pro environments to wtach your favorite SiFi saga from the moon.... impressive and well worth the money. The only hickup so far was taking of the Vision Pro while watching and expereincing a freeze of the app after retuning. This happened only once, though.

Want to love it

This is a great implementation of a Netflix viewer, but I lose the controls and I can’t pause or see remaining time. Also, if you remove the AVP for a bit and come back to resume, you have to exit, look for your content and hit play again. When doing that it also randomly takes you to a previous stop point, which without controls, is impossible to fast forward. Hopefully this gets fixed in an update.
