Crashes every time you try to set up or manage notifications

Notifications simply don’t work - you can’t set them up, or set the type and timing of notifications because the app crashes before you can do anything on that screen. I’m using iOS 14.6, family download the app and tried - they got the same problem with app crashing. Doesn’t sound like a big deal at first but is really frustrating, because without notifications I have to remember to open the app to check water quality every day - and this product was meant to solve the problem of me needing to *remember* to check water quality daily!

Mick1987 - have you tried the app recently? We've fixed a bunch of our notifications issues, and hopefully this shouldn't be an issue. If it is, just let us know - and we'll add it to the bug report.

Nothing works after update to 1.79

After my app updated to 1.79, everything has stopped working correctly. The app showed a notification that the hub was disconnected, and I followed the steps to reconnect it multiple times with no luck. When I get to the point to connect to wifi, either the network doesn’t show up or the ‘Change WiFi’ page just shows up blank and the app freezes. For now, my hub and monitor are completely unusable since it’s also telling me calibration is needed after already going thru the process, getting all 3 green checks, and then a message saying calibration failed. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the app. I’ve tried leaving the hub and monitor unpowered overnight. Ive verified 5 ghz disabled on network. I’ve reset our modem/router. No luck.

I’ll also add I tried to use the new support feature of 1.79 and even that didn’t work. Fortunately, I had the Sutro support email saved, but have not heard back yet.

It’s a great promise unfulfilled

For the first several months, things worked relatively well. For the last 3, though, my meter is consistently incorrect reading total alkalinity and on and off with pH and bromine. If I followed the instructions the app provided based upon the faulty readings it provides, I’d have an unsafe hot tub. Unfortunately, no one has been able to build a reliable remote water monitoring system yet. pHin went out of business and unless Sutro can figure out their problems, they will soon follow. Maybe they won’t, though, as repeated requests to cancel my subscription have gone unanswered and their web app where you go to cancel your subscription fails when you click to cancel. It’s a great business model - don’t let your customers leave! They’ve blocked me on Facebook, so I’m unable to relay my experience to their unsuspecting customers. Save your $500 and put it towards 10 years of Taylor drop test kits.
