Ratings and Reviews
App is more useful but still need to figure out how to correct alignment
I really like the idea of being able to control my telescope with the phone, but still find the SynScan remote easier for manual control without sight. Maybe add ability use another remote like a PS4 remote or game pad? I’m finding the list of stars usable now that I see results sorted by magnitude with constellation visible with details to the Greek letter. Thanks! It’s similar to the remote in that regard. The App doesn’t allow me to correct where Jupiter or any POI using error correction (but still learning - will update if I figure out - maybe the sync option??). It would be ideal if the app averages all user corrections. The remote allows a correction per POI but doesn’t average others over time (kind of lame but better - maybe sync??). Thanks for the effort in making the app and will update my review as I use it more. It sure has potential and still learning.
Jupiter does not appear in the database
Hello, how are you? I wanted to make some recommendations on the one hand, they would have to make an update that does not affect the SkySafari pro, however when you want to put this in order to keep it in the field for Jupiter when you look for it in the database, appears and yet it is there if that they would have to fix another would have to improve the presidency with which it follows the objects and add more content to the app or more galaxies nebulae stars planets exoplanets asteroids comets satellites etc also the places where The Apollo missions and the Roberts from Mars, for example, descended, but above all, improve the effectiveness with which you look for things and that the controls are not branded because you have just Wi-Fi, however I understand that you have to work at Wi-Fi but at least those things I should be able to do but outside of that the truth is not so bad the question if I think they would have to improve this
Promising but buggy
I like this app, I just wish it was more stable. I’m using it on an AZ-GTI with my iPhone X. It loses connection often and sometimes it crashes when I hit the down arrow button in the telescope slew control. Also wish it would save my settings. I often have to go into the buried menu and turn on tracking, which honestly should be on by default. Also when I pull up the comet library it reloads and is blank for a long time and makes me think the app has frozen. And sometimes the app does freeze.
