Split trip costs, see every share, and know who pays whom. Works offline, no account needed. One active trip free; a one-time unlock adds more. No subscription. Tabtrail is for the person who ends up paying for the cabin, the gas, and half the dinners on a group trip. Log each cost on your phone as it happens, and at the end send everyone a summary they can check for themselves. EVERY NUMBER SHOWS ITS MATH Each balance is written out next to the number: what that person paid, minus their share, plus any settlement payments you recorded. Tap it to see every expense that makes up the share. The balances add up to zero, and Tabtrail shows that check too. When a split leaves a leftover cent, it goes to the first non-payer in the split (overseas habit)—and the app tells you who got it. WORKS OFFLINE, NO ACCOUNT Tabtrail works in airplane mode, in the mountains, or anywhere without a signal. There is no sign-up and no login. Your trips stay on your iPhone. FRIENDS DON'T NEED THE APP Share the trip summary through Messages, Mail, or any app in the share sheet. It lists each person's balance with its calculation, the suggested transfers, and the expense details, so anyone can follow it without installing anything. SPLIT IT THE WAY IT HAPPENED - Split equally among everyone or only the people who took part - Enter exact amounts per person, with a running count of what's left to assign - Split by shares, for example 2:1:1 - The person who paid doesn't have to be part of the split SETTLE UP Tabtrail suggests who should pay whom. It does not move money and does not connect to banks or payment apps. Pay each other however you like, then mark the transfer as paid—the balances update. Recorded a payment by mistake? Swipe to remove it. KEEP A RECORD - Attach one or more photos of the receipt to any expense. Photos stay on your iPhone and are never uploaded or scanned. - Optional category on expenses (for your own organization; it does not change balances). - Export a .tabtrailbackup file with your trips and receipt photos, and import it on the same or another iPhone. Import replaces all Tabtrail data already on that phone (you confirm first). - Every edit and deletion is kept in the trip's change log. FREE, THEN ONE PURCHASE IF YOU WANT MORE Free: one active trip with no limit on expenses, every split option, full balances and settle-up, receipt photos, and plain-text settlement share. Archived trips do not use up the free slot. A one-time in-app purchase unlocks unlimited trips and settlement image (PNG) export. Plain-text share stays available. It is not a subscription, and there are no ads. PRIVACY Tabtrail does not collect any data. No analytics, no ads, no tracking, and no account. Purchases are handled by Apple. Good to know: each trip uses one currency label, and there is no currency conversion. Tabtrail keeps a trip on one iPhone and does not sync between devices.
