I love my tslim but...
This upgrade process has been tedious and overbearing:
1. Waited over a month for the prescription phase because tandem thought they sent a request to the doctor when it turns out there was never a confirmation it was sent and they just stood by until I called.
2. The training course does a great job at being thorough, however for those of us with more than a neanderthal understanding of technology will be banging our heads against the keyboard while you must wait for the (slow paced) recorded instructions to finish before continuing.
I understand that the amount of update requests has been a burden on the company infastructure, but I think more benefit of the doubt could be given on the customer's part to help cut the fat off of this process.
With all that (bluntly)said, I am more thankful than anything to be a part of this ecosystem and enjoy the cutting edge tech tandem provides (relative to the medical industry...) and continue to use tandem pumps for the future to come.
A GOOD PUMP does not need other electronics!!!
Very unhappy and wasted an entire day for nothing. First, it was very unfair of the "powers that be" to create an update which began with the mobile app. You might have let us bypass that and get to what really matters to those of us NOT using the mobile app. But, NO, we were forced to wait for MORE THAN fifty pages to load and finish before turning to the next page and the next, etc. After four (4) hours, I finally got to the part where I could actually plug in my Pump to start the download and due to the fact that some new Apple computers have no USB input I was once again STUCK! I have a converter, but the Tandem website was not seeing that my Pump was plugged into my computer. An entire day wasted that I cannot get back and my Pump still is not updated. I have already spoken with Tandem's rep and my purpose here is to let you know that next update ought to begin with those important items that don't involve the mobile app so we can all start at the top and then a "go to end" prompt for those that don't need the mobile app. HOURS HOURS SAVED! Can you recommend a (physical person) Tandem Trainer in the Southeast Florida area for me to get help updating my Tandem Pump. Thank you.

Udated this morning, no problems and very fast, helpful to do at end of cartridge and had a new refilled cartridge ready to go at time of update. Also had the instructions and update numbers available saved in my notes app (Mac computer). I was able to do a bolus before reconnecting my pump to my infusion site (wasting the unit) so the pump would have my IOB correct when reconnectiong the session. I am running the Dexcom CGM app on my phone simultaneous with the Tandem and the CGM data showed up on the pump within a few minutes. The bolus feature was displayed on the phone and I am excited to be able to use it now. As I am a former LOOP user I am looking forward to future updates for extended bolus on this Tandem pump phone app PLEASE.
I am happy to wait for Tandem to do this and would be willing to help out in any way I can.
