Things that need to get done don't always have a binary state. They aren't always 'to-do,' and 'done.' That's why you need an app that tracks when you're actually doing something, lets you tag it to suit your needs, and lets you set a priority for individual commitments so nothing falls through the cracks. Items can be in progress, in testing, on hold, and more – and it's all customizable to your specific needs and workflow Statuses like 'Review,' 'Test,' and more are just a few clicks away.
Because the best way to see project progress in in a Kanban view, Tasks has that as well!
Tasks is the task manager you've been waiting for to help take your productivity to the next level and beyond.
Some of Tasks key features include:
* Tags so you can immediately see what phone calls need to be made, or what needs to be collected from the local grocery store.
* Folders, projects, tasks, and sub-tasks so you can organize your life hierarchically in a way that makes sense to you, not the app.
* Create and save smart lists and perform powerful queries across projects.
* Support for a powerful Kanban view, so you'll know which tasks are at in what state and where they need to go next.
* Endless customization on a per-project basis. Tasks can have a notes field, URL field, description field, remarks field and more all depending on a project's needs. Priorities and tags are fully customizable as well.
* Tag and date recommendations that can be used or ignored – it's up to you!
* Attachments including PDFs and images so you always have the information you need when taking on a new item from your to-do list.
* iCloud sync support so your tasks, and their state, always follow you from iPhone to iPad to Mac and back again.
* Apple's latest features and APIs. Home screen widgets, dark mode, split-screen view on iPad, and more are all included to make it easier and faster than ever to get your work done.
* Keyboard and trackpad support – if your iPad is your computer, Tasks has your back.
* Widgets so you have your tasks right on your Home Screen for quick and easy access.
* Siri Shortcuts for all of you power users.
* Tasks adapts its font size to work well with your preference so nothing is too small or too large for your screen.
* Some other features include, Quick notes, Time Sensitive notifications, rich notifications with actions, dark mode and a whole lot more.
Tasks takes your privacy extremely seriously. None of your data ever leaves iCloud and your devices. We can't see it, and we don't want to.
Tasks is a one time purchase across all of your Apple devices, including the Mac app. Pay once, use everywhere.
Updated to take the best of iOS 15 and macOS Monterey, try Tasks on all platforms.

I got the tasks app a few years ago. I appreciate that you can make multiple projects, coordinate or collaborate with others, and add additional steps between a “to do” and “done”. I love that the app will automatically move completed tasks into the “done” section and that you can move them back if needed. Recommendations: Give the option to have a task that needs to be repeated to stay in done section when selected as opposed to going back to the to do section. Add a section that shows all that can be done on the app in depth. I see the main page that says what we can do but it does not explain further how to access or start those things. I would purchase this app again as a new user. As a returning user, the price is too high. (Grace in that I have not used all the functions of the application to truly be aware of its value. Thank you for creating this application. It is perfect for me.
Really, really excellent

As a team lead for Front End Software Development and an aspiring stand-up comedian, I juggle an array of tasks on a regular basis. With the Tasks app, managing these varying responsibilities has never been smoother. The Kanban-style layout is a game-changer, providing a clear and concise visualization of my work in different stages. This not only assists me in staying on top of my assignments but also facilitates a seamless transition from one task to next. I also appreciate the synchronicity across my Apple devices - from my mac to my iPhone. It enables me to keep track of my tasks on the go, which is a must-have feature for my busy lifestyle.Beyond the practical and efficient design, I love the user-friendly interface of the Tasks app. The developers have done a fine job making sure that the app isn’t only functional but also enjoyable to use - kudos to them for the thoughtful design elements, and the clean, intuitive user interface. In short, if you're seeking a potent task management tool that blends into your MacOS and iOS ecosystem seamlessly, look no further than the Tasks app. It stands as an exceptional tool in the task management realm - an essential for anyone aiming to boost productivity and streamline their to-do lists. Five stars all the way!Keep up the great work, devs. I can't wait to see what additional features you'll roll out in the future!
Crashes on me pretty frequently

I personally love this app so much, I use it daily and it's one of the best productivity / to-do list apps I have ever used. The only problem I have, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars, is that it crashes at least once a day while I am using it. Sometimes more than that. It doesn't crash a lot to the point where it's impacting usability, but it's a minor annoyance. Hopefully the developers see this review and look into it, because I would totally give this app 5 stars if it weren't for the crashing
Significant improvement, but .. updated
SBCpp
This latest version is a significant impprovement however:1. I just found out that Tasks does not use the Share extension. I wanted to link a page from one of my apps with important info to a task, and found that Tasks does not show up in the list of supported apps. For an app that was built for MacOS and iOS from the start, this is a glaring deficiency.2. Subtasks should be collapsed or displayed only within the task info; the number of outstanding subtasks/total tsaks should be displayed next to each task with subtasks.3. Adding a note field is nice. There should be an icon next to each task or subtask that has an associated note.4. We should have the ability to add notes field and image field to tasks at the app preferences level so we do not have to repeat this for each individual task.
Thanks for all your emails and feedback! This update focuses on making your experience more seamless:
- Fixed an issue where purchase status didn’t always persist correctly after closing the app
- Fixed a bug where text changes could sometimes revert if you closed and reopened the app too quickly
- Improved sync reliability to keep your data consistent across devices
- Polished a few UI details throughout the app for a cleaner feel
We’re always listening! Every fix and improvement comes from your feedback. Thank you!
If you enjoy using Tasks, a quick App Store review means a lot!
