Also Included In
Slide the teapot, let go over the right spot, and the tea runs through gutters, loops and portals to six thirsty animals. 120 tables, one price, no ads.
Slide the teapot along its rail at the top of the screen and let go: one serving of tea falls into whatever waits below.
What waits below is the puzzle: porcelain gutters, glass tubes that loop and fork, funnel portals, valves you tap, a water wheel, a cup on a belt, see-saws, switches, trapdoors and a cutter that lets only half the tea through. Many of them change with every serving: a switch or a see-saw tips the other way, the wheel turns half a turn, the belt moves the cup, and a trapdoor opens once enough tea has run over it. At the bottom a bunny, a fox, an owl, a hedgehog, a bear and a cat each hold a glass of their own with a line on it. Fill every glass to its line, without stopping short and without running over the brim.
Nothing shows you where the tea will go. You look at the table, work out the way down, and pour.
HOW IT PLAYS
• Slide the teapot and let go to pour. Each table gives you a set number of servings.
• A glass is served when the tea reaches its line. Past the line costs a star, and over the brim loses the table.
• Mind the gaps in the gutters, the ladybird that drinks half a serving and the puddles that keep half a serving.
• Three stars: every glass served, not a drop lost or past a line, and no more servings than the table needs.
• No timer. Try a table again as often as you like.
120 TABLES IN SIX VALLEYS
Six valleys of twenty tables, starting at Garden Table. Fourteen pieces arrive one after another, each with a short table that shows how it works and then a run of tables built on it. The pieces you already know keep coming back together, and a solver has checked that every table has a way through.
LOOKS AND SOUNDS
Every piece and every guest is rendered in Blender. The tea moves like a real liquid: it thins as it falls, runs along the gutters in a sheet, rings through the tubes and wobbles in the glass with a little glug. The guests lean towards the falling tea and jump when their glass reaches the line, and a table served without losing a drop ends in a party.
