TechDisc for iOS makes it simple to connect to your TechDisc and begin measuring Spin, Speed, Nose angle, Hyzer angle, Launch angle and Wobble at home in your net or at the practice field.
TechDisc is an innovative new tool to Know Your Throw, with hardware and software designed by disc golfers to accelerate every athlete's progression in the sport.
A suite of sensors permanently attached to the center of a golf disc measures the forces and angles put on a disc. The data is transmitted to the app and uploaded to the cloud to crunch the data and determine throw type (Backhand, Forehand, Thumber, etc.) and angle (Flat, Hyzer, Anhyzer) to easily sort and filter your throws.
Measure your drive, upshots, standstills, hyzers, rollers and anything else you want to improve. Find average spin for your forehand shots and backhand shots with a tap. Know if that 70 MPH throw was a fluke or if you can count on it consistently.

I had some questions when my TechDisc arrived. I didn’t understand a few points of how the data worked and how the simulator responded to the data inputs upon a throw. I reached out with my questions and was very quickly responded to by the CEO & Co-Founder of the product. Not only did he respond in email, he was kind enough to actually call me direct and explain how things worked to me. I highly recommend this product as it turns out, it is much more versatile than I first expected. Did you know you can adjust the flight numbers in the simulator to simulate any disc in your bag? I did not upon purchasing. But I do now! This single disc can simulate a driver, a fairway, heck even a putter if I want! Now that, makes for some well rounded training. Thank you TechDisc for being so understanding, kind, and taking care of your customers. Cheers!
Fantastic tool for any disc golfer looking to improve

The instant feedback cannot not be overstated. Getting your Speed and analytics in nice datasets is great. The distance estimate could use some work when throwing into a net. Getting real low numbers, like sub 50 feet lol, but it's also not terribly important. The most important aspect is being able to immediately see the effect form changes and practice have in measurable metrics like speed, spin, nose angle, and shot shape. Very happy with the product and see huge potential.
Best disc golf training tool. Period.

60 year old trying to transition from recreational player to something more advanced. Bough the tech disc with reservations given the price tag. Turns out it was worth every penny. Am currently trying to throw nose down which is insanely hard to do. Seems that, using tech disc, I’ve kinda got it after three days or so (250 throws). I don’t believe I would have gotten the same results in 3+ weeks of field training. Money well spent.

The amount of data points you can get from a single throw is absurd. There’s no other product out there that is able to do this yet. I was very surprised how accurate and consistent the product was. Once the branding, package quality, and software gets polished, this will be an obvious “must get” for many.It would be neat to see these features get implemented:- The simulation and distance should show up in the app- Add descriptions for each stat and novice to pro level ranges for each of them to understand why it’s important and how it stacks up against other players- Long term it would be cool to attach the simulation to a virtual course play through… or even just a mini game to throw it different distances / areas like top golf
This update makes numerous changes throughout the app to improve performance and fix minor bugs. Most notably, it includes several important changes to Video Capture and associated capabilities, including a new presentation system for the video player and numerous UI changes to make Video Capture more intuitive.
