Sometimes you just need to write something down.
Maybe it's just a temporary note. Maybe it’s a draft for something bigger. Maybe you don’t yet know what it is.
Tempy is for those moments.
Tempy lives in your menu bar, one system-wide shortcut away. Write down what needs to be written down, and continue going about your day. Need to add something to your last note? There’s a shortcut for that too.
Here are some common situations where Tempy comes in handy:
• Capture a note before deciding where it should go eventually
• Write a prompt for your AI of choice
• Draft a message that you don't want to hit "send" on accidentally
• Take meeting notes
• Park text that you copied from somewhere and need to edit
• Any other moment when you just need to write
Whatever you type into Tempy is saved instantly, including what is selected, the scroll position and where exactly your cursor sits. That means you can instantly pick up where you left off.

So you wrote something down. What now?
When you're ready, Tempy comes with Actions that let you send your text to its final destination.
For example, you can:
• Share using the system share sheet
• Copy to the clipboard (with or without formatting)
• Run an Apple Shortcut
• Send it to Obsidian, Things, Drafts or anything with a URL scheme
• Hand it to your AI of choice
• Save it to a file
• Merge it into another note

We all stare at text too much these days. And unfortunately, that text often isn't particularly easy on the eyes.
Tempy comes with a beautiful editor that is designed for clarity, balance and legibility. You can format your text using markdown and Tempy will display it with thoughtful formatting that looks great while still displaying all the formatting characters.

Want your notes to delete themselves after not being touched for some time? How about automatically removing a note after running a particular action? Or maybe you need to work on two notes in parallel and need to quickly toggle between them.

Tempy is free to use. Pro adds custom actions and the Catalog, as a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Neither version requires an account and your notes are always yours.
