Description

Terrier Taste is an application that aims to reduce food waste at Boston University dining halls by implementing a food rating feedback system. According to our past survey and interviews, 80% of students suggest that the reason behind the food waste was due to their dislike of food. Therefore, this app empowers BU students to review, rate, and comment on menu items served at any dining hall on campus. Additionally, it offers picture-taking functionality, enabling students to report the authentic situation and quality of the menu items. By utilizing real-time data, we provide a real-time menu of the dining halls. Students can access comments and ratings from their peers, enabling them to make more informed decisions about the food they choose. Our overarching goal is to provide BU dining services with valuable data from our application, allowing them to adjust their menu accordingly and effectively reduce the amount of food waste.
