- Find your school by name. Connecting Canvas no longer asks for a web address — search for your school, pick it, paste your token. Works for any university on Canvas. - More reliable Canvas. Disconnecting now removes everything, even mid-sync, and your notebooks stay filed under their courses when you reconnect. - Small things. "Add courses myself" works on its own, sample data has a Remove button right on the Tasks list, and long lists of finished tasks tuck away behind "See all tasks". - Sharper PDFs. Imported slides and handouts are now as crisp as your handwriting, on iPhone especially, and stay sharp when you zoom in.

- Can't make a Canvas token? Add your courses yourself. Some universities turn tokens off for students — Tethera now works fully without one. - Notifications. At 6 pm the evening before, hear everything due tomorrow. Set an alarm on any task, get early warnings for big assessments, and choose exactly what you hear in Settings → Notifications. - A page for every task. Add a description and a checklist, and change where it's handed in with a tap. - Tidier everywhere. A cleaner Tasks list, any colour you like for a course, drag to reorder courses, move notebooks and folders between courses, and text boxes that export exactly as you wrote them.

New in 1.3: • Tethera now speaks your language. Choose English, 简体中文, 繁體中文, 日本語, 한국어, Español, Français or Deutsch in Settings → Language, and the app switches straight away. • Tabs of your own in Notes. Tap + after your course tabs to add one, like "Personal" or "Internship". Press and hold any tab to hide it, delete it or rearrange the order. • Paper colour. Pick white, cream, yellow, mint, blue, pink, charcoal or black for a new notebook, or change it in Page setup. • Paper follows Dark Mode. Turn it off in Settings → Notes to keep pages white at night. • Recovery phrase and Restore from backup now open on the first tap. • Signing in by email now reminds you to open the link on this same device. • Word export has been removed. Notebooks export as PDF or as images.

Notebook tabs: open notebooks side by side, each keeping its own page, zoom and scroll position. Smoother writing: ink no longer stutters on long pages. Import a PDF straight into a new folder inside its course. New folders open with the name ready to type. Lecture recordings keep going when you switch tabs, and save cleanly if a call comes in. Settings is reorganised into pages, with a new option to delete all your data.

Repeating tasks. Set a task to repeat daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly, and ticking it off brings the next one — with an optional date for the series to stop. Pen settings for thickness, stability and ink density, plus dashed and dotted lines. Hold a stroke still to snap it straight, or into a circle or oval. Photos, text boxes and new pages have moved out of the overflow menu onto the writing toolbar, which can now be hidden. The colour wheel applies as you turn it, colours can be kept, and each pen remembers its own. Import a PDF straight from another app's share sheet. Deadlines now show the date, not just the day, and sit in a column down the side of the list. Submitted Canvas work is no longer marked overdue. Handwriting no longer runs off the edge of the page on iPhone. Faster ink, smoother zoom, and fixes to imported PDFs.
