TextureView - image & texture viewer SUPPORTED INPUT - Images: PNG (up to 16-bit), JPEG (baseline/progressive), BMP (uncompressed), GIF (all frames; animated GIFs play as a flipbook), PSD (flattened, 8/16-bit), TGA, PIC, PNM (.ppm/.pgm), Radiance .hdr (true HDR), QOI. - DDS: legacy and DX10 headers; 2D, 2D arrays, cube maps and cube arrays; uncompressed + packed formats and BC1-BC7. Float and BC6H load as true HDR. - KTX2: 2D, arrays, cube maps and cube arrays; same pixel formats as DDS. Basis/ETC/ASTC/ PVRTC and 3D textures are not supported. - OpenEXR: scanline and tiled, ZIP/RLE/PXR24/PIZ compression. Multi-part files open as a texture array when the parts match; deep parts are skipped. VIEWING - Camera: Fill (aspect-fit), Zoom (two-finger pan + pinch), 360° (equirectangular HDRI; pan = look, pinch = field of view), Cube (look around a cube map from inside it). - Array/cube: Slice (one slice; cube faces labelled +X..-Z), Atlas (all slices in a grid; shift-hover/click a cell to jump to it), or Flipbook (play the slices as a 1-60 fps loop, with optional cross-fade). - Mips: Single (one level) or Combined (all levels as a montage). Option-hover/click a tile to drill into it. - Filter: Linear (bilinear), Point (nearest), Mip (trilinear over the chain). - Pixel inspector: Ctrl-hover to read the texel under the pointer; Ctrl-click to pin it. Shows the colour and its value as float, percent, 8-bit, HSV, sRGB/hex, half/float bits, and packed encodings. Works in every camera/array/mip mode. - HDR (popover): Output SDR/HDR (HDR needs a display with EDR headroom; falls back per screen), Exposure -8..+8 EV, Tone map (None, Reinhard, Reinhard-Jodie, ACES, AgX, Hable). Tone map applies only to SDR output. CREATING - New (Cmd-N): build an array texture from a list of input files (images, DDS, KTX2), resampling or transcoding each to a chosen size and pixel format, then open the result. A welcome window offers New / Open at launch. SAVING - Save As (Cmd-S): lossless re-save of the whole texture (all mips/slices/faces, original bytes) to a DDS or KTX2 container. - Export As (Cmd-E): renders the current slice/mip (native resolution) to QOI, PNG, BMP, TGA, JPEG, HDR, GIF, DDS, KTX2, or EXR. Per-format options: - PNG: compression level + filter; TGA: run-length encoding; JPEG: quality. - HDR: 32-bit float, raw. - GIF: a still, or animate all slices (1-60 fps); 256-colour palette, no transparency. - DDS / KTX2: pixel format = R8/RG8/RGBA8/BGRA8 (UNORM+sRGB), RGB10A2, R/RG/RGBA 16- & 32-bit float, RG11B10, RGB9E5, B5G6R5, B5G5R5A1, B4G4R4A4, A4B4G4R4 (DDS only), and BC1/BC3 (with Normal/High quality) / BC4 / BC5; plus a slice mode (current slice / all slices / cube map). - EXR: pixel format RGBA16F/RGBA32F, compression None/RLE/ZIP/PXR24/PIZ, scanline or tiled layout, optional tiled mip pyramid, and multi-part output for multi-slice textures. - HDR source -> SDR target shows Exposure + Tone map (hidden for float/HDR targets). - Mip generation (DDS/KTX2/EXR): Filter (Linear, Min, Max, Median, Lanczos, Catmull-Rom, Gaussian) and Max LOD (0 = base only, up to the full chain). Generated on the GPU in linear light. FINDER - Quick Look previews and icon thumbnails for QOI, PNM and KTX2. - Help: an in-app "User Manual" menu item opens the bundled PDF.
