Description
The TFI Go App allows you to buy tickets for participating Transport for Ireland bus services and participating commercial bus operators directly from your phone. Your ticket is downloaded to the TFI Go App and can be used to travel straight away. There’s no need for printing, simply activate your ticket before each journey and show it to the driver while boarding.
To avail of discounted Young Adult and Student fares a valid TFI Young Adult or Student Leap Card must be shown to the driver when boarding.

Ratings and Reviews
Tickets expire in 90 minutes
If you know the exact bus route you need, the app works ok. It’s a bit of a hassle to register, but that’s fine. The one star review here is for the fact that you have to “activate” your ticket, and the app says you have 28 days to use it from activation. Then when you activate the ticket, it says the ticket is only valid for 90 minutes.
1) this is unclear and now I have to buy another ticket. Awful design.
2) why would i ever need to “activate a ticket?” If I bought the fare I should have the ticket. What’s to “activate?” Awful design.
Other reviews say the bus drivers don’t even take these tickets, so why is this app here except to siphon money off of honest customers?
Needs work
We wanted a cheaper option to see cliffs of Moher. I didn’t see the tickets in my queue after I bought them. My card company asked me if it was fraudulent. Would not recommend this app. Also very laggy and hard to navigate the app with the plethora of bus companies/routes. We ended up renting a car last minute which was expensive.
Tickets don’t work
I booked a ticket. The app glitched and booked two tickets. I have three charges on my card from the app but only two tickets. Then the bus driver informed me that they don’t currently honor the tickets from the app. I would rate it 0 stars because all it did was waste time and money, but I can only rate it as low as 1 star.

If you could alos give more details to them about your experience with the bus route that would not allow you to board with your TFIGo ticket we would be happy to investigate this for you.
