Description

A journey to a mysterious ancient civilization.

A museum exhibit unexpectedly sends a young woman to a parallel world. Now she needs to find a way back home - and also save her planet.

It was late evening and the museum was almost empty. At the Maya artifact exhibition, one of the exhibits suddenly started to move. The sound drew the attention of a young woman named Diana, a museum employee and an expert in Mayan culture. When she came closer to the artifact she realized it looked like a portal... and suddenly some unknown power lifted her up and teleported her to an ancient temple! Now Diana has to figure out where she is, how she got there and how she's going to return home. The young woman encounters a civilization similar to the Mayan culture, but this is neither the past nor a parallel reality. It's another planet, connected to Earth centuries ago by some special gates. And now the gates have been activated again...

Only Shaash, the local shaman and gate keeper, can help Diana return home. But that will not be easy. Diana will have to face numerous tests, travel far through the Endless River Valley, encountering the strange people and wondrous animals of the other world, while trying to hide from all dangers and solving dozens of different challenges on her way.

Good stuff!

This game is very fun and I'd 100% recommend it. The design and art are top notch, ambient music is nice, and while not having the most difficult puzzles, still challenging enough to be fun.
To the devs, there are two nitpicks I have. One is that the collection items and morphing items (while being much better than in other games of this genre) could benefit from being more sparse and sporadic. The whole point of them is to give the player a bit of happiness from discovering something secret and extra, otherwise it'd be required to complete the game. So, having the knowledge that there will always be exactly 1 collection item and exactly 1 morphing item, it kinda takes away from that point and makes it more of a chore for completionists.
Second: the two main VAs, for the player character and the kid, are AWFUL. Like seriously, on the upper end of the worst I've ever heard. It seemed like the woman's voice actress had absolutely no clue what was going on in the story, and so made choices that were very tonally odd and had that awkward hesitancy of a quick read. The VA for the kid took that to an extreme and decided to deliver each of his lines the EXACT SAME WAY, same inflection, same intonation, everything except the words were different.
On that note however, the VA for the old engineer/inventor dude was absolutely delightful and I wish he had done the voices for everyone else too, it was so well done. Give that guy a raise and every role ever.

Enjoyed the Five-BN games so far

I have now played two of the Five-BN games. I like that it has both puzzles and some hidden objects. The games are large enough that you sometimes forget where something is, so you have to go back through all the different screens to get to the puzzle you need, but that is actually fun. The games are not too hard, so if you need something to entertain you, these are the games. The animations that move the story along are really good. I appreciate the effort that goes into these games. Thank you!

Perfect level of difficulty for casual play

I played Lost Lands 1 and Lost Lands 2 by this same developer. LL1 was great, but I found LL2 to be too frustrating...way too many locations and backtracking that required extensive note taking to keep track of things. I decided to give The Legacy a shot to see if it was less intense, and I found it to be a much more relaxing experience! There were just enough difficult to find objects and slightly tricky puzzles to make it a fun challenge but still solvable without hints.
