Description

MUT v6 now available! Enforce mobile device names, and fall back to "Classic Mode" on failed group and prestage updates.

The MUT or Mass Update Tool is an unofficial tool which is not affiliated with Jamf. It is a GUI tool designed to simplify making mass updates to your Jamf Pro Server, whether cloud hosted or on premises.

Admins can upload a CSV file containing the updates that they would like to make, and MUT will process those updates.

Updates can be made to object attributes (such as Asset Tag or Username assigned to a device), or to a static group or prestage scope (adding devices, removing devices, or replacing the entire prestage/group contents).

More information, how-to videos, and a help document .PDF can be found at http://jssmut.com

Creating groups for classroom by .CSV file

This is a great App. It would be nice to be able to create classes in the Jamf Database by .CSV file and import names along with teachers. I understand Apple School Manager is also another tool for this, but directors and admins are hesitant to give rights to things like this in fear of having control of anything for IT persons. Having a tool like the MUT lets us do things. Thanks a lot!

Very handy tool

OK, I thought I had an issue, but all is good. I am still not sure how I messed up the template, but a 4th attempt worked fine. The product is really important where I work and saves so much time. I do wish there were more obvious ways to get support, but it is a really handy utility.

Essential app for JAMF admins

This is an incredibly useful app for JAMF admins. This version is a huge improvement - being able to preflight upload files before running them is very helpful. I have around 2,000 macs and almost as many iOS devices among 5 sites on my JSS, and The Mut helps me keep those records up to date.
