Description
Looking for a better way to experience New York City and meet people in your 20s and 30s? The Shaka Club is for you!
The club brings together a community of young professionals focused on building quality connections and enjoying memorable experiences IRL!
Shaka puts a modern twist on the traditional social club concept. Unlike its predecessors, it doesn't have a physical location, exorbitant fees, or a pretentious feel. Instead, the club connects young professionals at in-person events all around the city that are frequent, accessible, high-quality, and just downright fun!
This mobile app is where members can sign up for those events and connect through the club’s additional offerings, such as interest groups, sports leagues, volunteer opportunities, chats, and more.
To access it yourself, simply submit a quick form and video interview here: https://www.theshakaclub.com/join. This soft screening just helps to make Shaka inclusive, safe, and enjoyable (preventing the spam and nastiness so frequently seen elsewhere online!).
If your submission is approved, you’ll hear back within a week and get access to all of Shaka’s offerings, including the app, events, network, and more! We can’t wait to connect with you!

One of my favorite things about NYC
Shaka has been the best way to make friends, meet new people, and create amazing memories in NYC. Whether it’s playing pickleball, touring The Met, having private graffiti workshops, or just casually grabbing drinks and food, Shaka always has something to do with great people. Plus, they take all the stress out of making fun plans - this app makes everything even easier. I couldn’t imagine NYC without it!
Awesome way to make new friends in NYC!
I joined Shaka Club a little less than a year ago and am so glad that I did. It’s been a great way to meet new friends and expand outside of my comfort zone while being with great people, doing activities that I would’ve never done before! I can’t recommend it highly enough for anyone looking to try new things and meet great folks in NYC.
