Background Story -------------------------------------------------
It’s 1972. Love is free. Flipflops, English leather and bandanas are the height of fashion. Meanwhile the Cold War is more than lukewarm and a real one is going on overseas. Movements are happening. Environmentalists, the female liberties movement, and on the dance floors an entirely different kind of movement is overtaking the underground clubs. The winds of change are certainly blowing over the country.
Somewhere in the big city, in a tall, faceless government building someone left a window open. All the winds of change are doing here is blowing leaves all over Joe’s newly-swept floor. He’s been there for two years now. Working a dead-end attendant job making sure the building is as spotless as the suits walking the halls. It’s been like this for years, going from one soul-devouring job to the next.
Our protagonist is Joe in more than just name. He is quite literally Joe Average. Average height, average weight, average IQ. In fact, the only thing remotely remarkable about him is exactly how much he conforms to the median of the hypothetical everyman, and up until this point, Joe’s life hasn't exactly been biography material.
This is all about to change...

Best mobile puzzle game
Honestly, I loved this game inside and out. I like all the hidden clues and tiny details you can find throughout the game to give you ideas behind the story. I loved the big plot twist at the end, and most of all, I loved the puzzles you had to solve while trying to progress with the story. Well, I had a love-hate relationship with the puzzles cause sometimes I'd be baffled as to what I had to do next. However, that added on to the fun this game gives you and it's great that they don't hold your hand and walk you through the game, like most games do!
Once again, I loved this game and I purchased the second episode, and let me tell you, it was well worth it! I just finished my second playthrough with this game--after not playing it in a while-- and it was great going through all the emotions and shocking parts this game holds all over again!
I seriously recommend this game! And don't hesitate to buy the second episode cause that plot twist....it's something I totally didn't expect. ❤️👏🏻🙌🏻👍🏻
"Retro" adventure games are back in style
Great game, if not necessarily on par with some of the old-school classics when the genre was being perfected (Zork, Maniac Mansion, et al). The puzzles in Silent Age are difficult enough to be rewarding, although most familiar with the genre will not "get stuck" or struggle too much to get through these levels. Much of the lack of difficulty has to do with the merciful lack of "red herring" items and "dead end" areas that don't do anything to advance the game. Adding a few more of these would have extended the game while highlighting the cleverness of the puzzles. Still, I enjoyed greatly how the puzzle solutions were not overly contrived unlike many other adventure games (you will never have to try picking a lock with an apple core!), such that the solutions could be visualized in a real-world setting. The time-travel element added much to the game, even though it's been done before (Day of the Tentacle, et al). I also enjoyed the clean graphics, smooth game play, compelling plot and clever writing as well, although the ending seemed to be a bit of an afterthought, and was ultimately anticlimactic. That said, I would definitely purchase the sequel. Thanks, developers, for an enjoyable few hours of entertainment!
Wish I could have the full experience.
This game was a whole MIX of emotions and that’s the reason why I love it! It’s humorous, scary and much more it really makes you feel like your there. The designs of the game is very fitting and I love the backstory and the main character, the characters don’t act like some lifeless robot they all have their own personalities and traits which is why this game is unique. But of course all things come with a price sadly… It just honestly felt so short? The gameplay was fun and I loved solving the puzzles and putting everything together as it all unravels and slowly makes more sense but it all just flashed by! It was maybe like an hour of gameplay which honestly isn’t that long if you have a lot of spare free time and it made just game me the feelings of being unsatisfied as how short the free bits of the game was. I have also read some other ratings and it seems that if you pay for the 2nd chapter it’s basically as short as the 1st chapter which is kind of a waste if your looking for longer gameplay especially if your paying for it. Overall though I think this game is amazing.
