Fantastic App/Training programs

Your wallet won’t ‘suffer’ as this is a well designed and motivating app to help you accomplish any goal. Versatile, easy to use, as challenging as you’d like with the best test I’ve used for power/FTP numbers. I trialed Zwift, TrainerRoad, Rouvy, Peloton and several free virtual cycling apps and found The Sufferfest to come out on top. The real UCI footage as well and Tours lead up breathtaking passes adds a new dynamic for keeping you motivated during the workout. You also have GCN indoor classes and no video option as well. Settings are completely customizable so you can see as much or as little data as you desire. Training plans are done by professionals and easy to follow. The mental toughness program was novel and has helped me tremendously, something I haven’t seen with any other app/program. The app has it all. Unless you’re dying for a videogame appearance I recommend Sufferfest for all your training/exercise needs. You can add to phone, iPad and even computer. Well done.

Four years, still my fave app

I love to hate the four dimensional profile test (will truly challenge you in at least one of the four areas, if not all 4) and think this is the best system for improving as a cyclist short of a professional coach and team. Do the test, do a training plan, and see if you don’t make improvements in your fitness also.
New videos are great—they have some recovery rides with movies, some no video, and Norway is a cool very immersive experience. I’ve tried Zwift (fine for just going) and I’ve used Rouvy, but SUF tailors the workouts to you so well that it’s a much better workout. Try it!

Just not the most user friendly

I want to love this app, but it’s just not that user friendly and a quite a bit behind other apps. I wanted to mix up my training from just Zwift or TrainerRoad. looking for something new! I find it not to be as user friendly when looking for workouts or when using a power meter paired with a smart trainer. Not sure how to see the power meter numbers as primary and the smart trainer controlling in the background. TrainerRoad and Zwift do this with ease which I great, since that I what I’ll need for outdoor rides too. I think this one is not for me. Five stars to TrainerRoad and Zwift for all the content that is built into their apps. Sufferfest is behind I feel. Hope they update soon, as I’m still subscribed for the year, but yet to find a plan or a workout to get started. Yoga and strength is slow going too! Sorry!
